Darn the long weekend lol" july 4th"

Does the AVR takes holidays off?

We were dreading the long weekend too. We got sif on Thursday 30th june and just heard on sunday 3rd July that our case was complete on AVR. Just waiting for interview now so you shouldn't be far behind.

30 Nov 2010 - Sent I-130 to Chicago

1 Dec 2010 - I-130 received at Chicago

18 Apr 2011 - APPROVED!! NOA2 text and email

NVC

29 Apr 2011 - Case entered into the system/Case number assigned; Medical Exam in Sydney

30 Apr 2011 - Police Check Application sent

2 May 2011 - Called NVC and got Invoice ID number

3 May 2011 - Sent DS-3032 email

4 May 2011 - Received email reply from NVC for DS-3032; Received Medical Exam results

5 May 2011 - AOS invoiced and paid

7 May 2011 - AOS package sent; IV invoiced and paid

9 May 2011 - AOS package delivered to NVC according to tracking

20 May 2011 - RFE for missing IV package....still waiting on Police Certificate!

24 May 2011 - Received Police Certificate after 25 days (so much for 7-10!); IV package sent

27 May 2011 - IV package delivered according to tracking

8 Jun 2011 - RFE for original marriage certificate; requested supervisor review since we KNOW it was in the package!

30 Jun 2011 - SIF and CC - FINALLY!!!!

13 Jul 2011 - Interview date assigned! Scheduled for August 9th @ 10am

9 Aug 2011 - Interview - APPROVED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

12 Aug 2011 - Visa in hand

24 Aug 2011 - POE @ LAX

My wife had hers on June 27 and received the sealed envelope with the medical results a couple of days ago. Did you have your examination in Bucuresti?

GOOD NEWS!!! SIF and CC!!!! FINALLY!!!!!:dance: :dance: :dance: :dance: :dance: :dance: :dance: :dance:

We are so happy to finally get it!! My husband spoke to a very nice supervisor yesterday (day 15 of supervisor review and we still hadn't heard a word), who said she would personally track down the person reviewing our case and get it sorted out as soon as she could. Guess at least one person at the NVC does what they say they will......24hours later we have our SIF and CC!

We think the problem had something to do with the fact that we were married in Texas....and Texas doesn't issue marriage 'certificates'. The license, once signed by the judge/priest/whoever and then filed with the county clerk's office, becomes the official proof of the marriage. They were having issues with the word 'license' and not 'certificate' like they are used to. Still don't know how they wouldn't have known that in the first place - we can't have been the first people to have been married in Texas and sent in the 'license' as proof of marriage!

Of course I got the whole 'the NVC only schedules interviews in the second week of the month' script, and they can't guarantee me an August interview....but I'm not thinking about that right at this moment - I'm still just so happy we finally got the CC!

Man, they are so wierd. They accepted my certified copy scan of a marriage license with no problem. Never said a word on it.

Yes it was in Bucuresti!They gave me the results same day!Very nice and professional staff at Regina Maria! :thumbs:

Must not have been one of the hospitals that Mr. Lazarescu visited (inside joke--Romanian movie reference).

They told me this week is scheduling week and I "should" get scheduled in the month of august.

I hope you said "yes yes yes" the whole weekend tongue.gif

Hey all!

Thought id chime in here. We started the NVC stage late april, and it took us just over one month with no RFE'S. We had CC june 9th and interview is set for july 25th :D

Total time from posting I-130 to VISA in hand 7 months 21 days :D
