It just occured to me that we started having this thread in the end of May and its almost July already. I know it doesn't reflect reality, but I feel like we've been in the NVC for 1 year and the USCIS is just a distant memory.

Well for me it is nearly 1 year but I agree the USUCKS is a distant memory

Thanks! I'm so anxious! Got the medical exam yesterday, I should have the results next week, after every single step there's more waiting and waiting

They like to make it as difficult as possible lol. Lots of traveling and expenses!

Oh well, I'm assuming we could've had a July interview, but the false RFE slowed us down...at least Aug 15th is close enough...sort of

GOOD NEWS!!! SIF and CC!!!! FINALLY!!!!! :dance: :dance: :dance: :dance:

We are so happy to finally get it!! My husband spoke to a very nice supervisor yesterday (day 15 of supervisor review and we still hadn't heard a word), who said she would personally track down the person reviewing our case and get it sorted out as soon as she could. Guess at least one person at the NVC does what they say they will......24hours later we have our SIF and CC!

We think the problem had something to do with the fact that we were married in Texas....and Texas doesn't issue marriage 'certificates'. The license, once signed by the judge/priest/whoever and then filed with the county clerk's office, becomes the official proof of the marriage. They were having issues with the word 'license' and not 'certificate' like they are used to. Still don't know how they wouldn't have known that in the first place - we can't have been the first people to have been married in Texas and sent in the 'license' as proof of marriage!

Of course I got the whole 'the NVC only schedules interviews in the second week of the month' script, and they can't guarantee me an August interview....but I'm not thinking about that right at this moment - I'm still just so happy we finally got the CC!

They told us the whole 2 week thing too, but I got my interview date the 4th week of this month Good luck!

We finally got the DHL sorted out, the prompt I was telling you about was checking to see if you had an existing account. I selected 'no', so it directed me to a page where I could create an account. There was no indication that they wanted you to verify your information, so basically it looked like there were two boxes for two people (perhaps husband and I), but we called to confirm that they just wanted my information twice. As stated on your wiki, "scheduled by NVC" didn't work for us, so we had to choose the courier option (last one). We ended up picking Dorval just because it was south of the city and that's where we will be heading after we pick up the visa.

Yay, glad it worked out in the end! I picked Dorval too I had my interview on a Tuesday, and my visa/passport was ready by that Friday at Dorval! Hopefully it's just as fast for you too!

"The NVC has received the checklist letter response on July 1st. Please allow 6-8 weeks from this date for the NVC to review your documentation and notify you of the outcome of the review."

Does this mean Case closed?

Yes but the system is updated automatically, no human hand needed and anyways I advice you to call an operator on Tuesday to have their confirmation.

So now you can say : "Yes Yes Yes"
