Yeah, July 18 is the last date I remember seeing too. Which means there'd still be plenty of room for you But if not late July, then most definitely early August.

Is there a point to calling every day to find out if we have an interview date? With EP, shouldn't they notify you by e-mail once they have scheduled a date for you?

You get an email with an interview date whether doing EP or not.

The only point to calling every day is if you want to find out asap of your interview date. You usually only save a few hours from when you find out till when you get the email, but some people want to know asap. Like me. But if you don't want to call, then you don't have to at all. You can just wait for the email

I need to prepare for the medical and interview soon because I'll be heading back home for about a month in about 2 weeks. I'm guessing I'll get an interview date near the end of July - early August, and I can't really rely on my husband to gather all the necessary documents and evidence for my interview lol.

Inside the sealed envelope is all the forms you've submitted throughout the process (I-130, I-864, DS-230) as well as your medical results. You might be able to see it for yourself at POE. The officer opened it while asking me questions and I saw all the forms.

As for the originals/certified copies, you get them all back: birth certificate and marriage certificate. If you also sent in divorce certificate(s), you'll get those back too. Remember, if the officer forgets to give them back, just remind them.

Bigbigblake just repeated NVC scrypt, a kind of a joke. I advice you to call them to have an update, don't hesitate to call them often till you have your answer.

Basically, all you can do is wait now. It'll probably be about 2 weeks before you hear anything. Just call NVC every day and ask if there's any update.

They FINALLY shipped my freakin' package to the Embassy! I've been calling them like crazy. "We'll ship it. We'll ship it. Please allow 8 weeks." "The interview is in 5 weeks." "Please allow 8 weeks." *facepalm*

Anyway, they FINALLY shipped my package. We're DONE with the NVC, and not a moment too soon.

Question for those that have already got their SIF/CC...is there a particular time of day that they seem to occur? Like, I saw alot of ppl (us included) getting the NOA2 email/text at 6 or 7pm US time. Does something similar happen with the NVC? Does the system update at a certain time or does it update constantly thoroughout the day?

Was just curious...I keep checking but still no SIF

Got mine late in the evening, had called earlier in the day and it wasn't closed, but the AVR was updated for a close by evening and the operator confirmed.

How long does it take to pull a file and see if a single piece of paper is there or not??????
