NVC is saying 90 days now? When I called to get asst. numbers the operators were saying 20. It usually takes less than that though.

Oh, and the thread I think you're thinking about is for tracking your file from NVC to the embassy.

Where may i find the thread you are refering too ... to track file from nvc to embassy? thanks...

one more question.... the DS-3032 form should i get my wife signature on that well in advance.. and then finally when nvc assign case # i submit to nvc... what is the barcode thing that we need to place on top of that ds3032 form? any help.. thanks

Just wanted to update here that we recieved nvc case # today. They automated voice system said that fhey recieved our file on April 29. One more step closer

Grats on finally getting your number! kicking.gif

RFE on AOS received 30 minutes ago, I guess NVC works 24/24.

Stupid RFE, my daughter again, and mine should follow as they are claiming the 2010 return taxes which my beloved husband is waiting for me to do it.

Should be fixed shortly I hope.

NVC works till 12am EST.

Sucks about the RFE. The gov't doesn't seem to like your daughter. First at TSC and now at NVC :(

IV fee finally generated. paid and now waiting for barcoded sheet so i can send this off

Grats on it finally being invoiced, lol. It should appear as paid sometime this week.

Where may i find the thread you are refering too ... to track file from nvc to embassy? thanks...

To track from NVC to embassy/consulate, go here: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/194465-how-to-track-your-case-from-nvc-to-embassy/ Remember to read the whole thread as the format for the reference number is slightly different now.

You don't need to sign the DS-3032 or anything. You can send it by email. Just follow the instructions here: http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/Email_DS-3032_form

Hi Saylin,

I understand them somehow, she just turned 14. Here's a bit of my story :

09/2009 - Met in Paris, France at work

04-23-2010 Marriage in Madison, Alabama

USCIS

07-19-2010 Filed I-130 - CR1 & CR2 (my daughter)

07-20-2010 Priority date

07-27-2010 NOA2 (California Service Centre)

11-03-2010 Transfer to Texas Service Centre

01-27-2011 RFE - additional relationship evidences

02-07-2011 RFE confusion with my daughter's file, TSC took her for an immigrant worker, she is only 13

02-08-2011 Response to both RFEs

02-23-2011 NOA2 for my case (email notification received 02-27)

03-02-2011 File shipped to NVC

03-09-2011 NOA2 for daughter's case (email notification received 03-15)

NVC

03-04-2011 Case #

03-17-2011 Daughter's case#

03-17-2011 Daughter's choice of agent sent but never entered into the system

03-22-2011 Request for expedite refused by Embassy

03-31-2011 Daughter's choise of agent resent back and accepted

04-21-2011 AOS & Support docs delivered to NVC (hubby on business trips, no time to deal with packets)

04-22-2011 NVC operator confirms delivery

04-25-2011 Again Embassy refuses expedite

04-27-2011 Madison, Alabama devasted by tornado storms, fortunately Hubby was in New York, but had to take first flight home as our house was severely damaged. And thank God TSC messed up, we would probably be in the house)

05-04-2011 RFE stupid one, although Hubby has an approved extension for income tax return filling, NVC does not care at all, they absolutely wanted, but there's no power in Madison, no way for him to even see the attached forms on the NVC email

Finally got NVC case # and IIN today! I gave them our emails but am wondering if I was supposed to ask them to email us when they are ready to receive my husbands COA form or will they do that automatically?

Or has anyone sent the choice of agent email right away (after having received their case #)?

Thanks for any replies.

Grats on getting your case number! NVC will email you within a few days with the initial information package which contains your case number, IIN, and an expired DS-3032 form.

You can send in the DS-3032 right away, but they might not accept it. I'd suggest sending one now, and then a second after you get that initial package from NVC (if you don't get an acceptance by then).

I had my husband send it a couple of days after I got the asst. numbers, and I'll probably have him send it again, as the bill hasn't yet shown up in the payment portal. That is, if I can get a hold of him. *cracks knuckles ominously* I hate when he goes MIA..

Holding my nose and jumping off the cliff.. hope I don't hit any rocks in the water.

Thanks for the info Saylin! I guess I'll go ahead and prepare the email so that my husband can send it. Part of me wants to wait until I get their email with the info package but seeing how long everything in this process has taken with my case in particular I'm scared we'll be left to wait for that email forever.

Thanks again!

*grins* I would have thought he knew better than that by now myself. The only thing I can think of is that he got the job he was going after finally and had to ship out quickly. Still slightly inexcusable, as it shouldn't have been so hard to send me some sort of notice, but I could deal with that.

/end hijack :hehe:

I've been calling 2x a day too, they said they received my case on Monday but it could be "4-6 weeks" until they input it. I just say, "Okay, thanks." and call back again in the evening/morning.
