I recieved a third False RFE this morning. The first one I got was for both packages, despite both being sent weeks earlier. The second I got was for the AOS Package, and the Marriage Certificate. I confirmed with them that the AOS package -had- arrived, and the Marriage Certificate was in fact there and thus, the whole IV package went into supervisor review.

Now, this morning, I recieved an RFE stating that they had recieved the AOS package, but not the IV Package. ...

I am rapidly losing patience with the NVC. I believe I spent it all waiting on the USCIS. At least they were straightforward in their slowness; I'm surprised to find it is more frustrating to have a fast-moving but ridiculous process than a slow moving predictable process --- but alas, it is!

Oh my goodness, when I thought that they were a bunch of monkeys, it gets better...I think you should call NVC again and speak to another supervisor about all of this nonsense because it is getting out of hand with the ridiculous RFE's. We've all lost our minds and patience a bit with this whole immigration process.

I understand why they're located next to a military base now.

This could just mean that they finished reviewing your AOS... I think almost everyone gets a fake RFE for the IV package at some point. I completely agree with how much more annoying NVC is even though it moves faster than USCIS. I hope you are done with your fake RFEs- I stopped counting after 8... looking back, I guess the process didn't take that long, but getting meaningless RFEs all the time will drive a person crazy. If it makes you feel better, they are usually a couple of days delayed and can be sent for literally no reason at all... I got 4 of them the day before my CC.

Reading this, I know what to expect then...USPS delivered our AOS to NVC on 5/27 and the IV package on 5/31.....they still tell me they don't have our packages. Very annoying, getting the script 20 business days answer. We did send the DS3032 completed via email and they typed it wrongly making my husband, the beneficiary so just sent them an email asking them to correct.

Good luck and I hope we all get cc very soon

Grats! No need to speak with a brain-dead operator.

If you haven't done so, I would suggest reading the wiki that's linked in my signature since you (or your spouse) is in Canada. Make sure you learn all about the required online forms and the optional electronic processing. If you have any questions after reading, I'll be glad to help :)

Just popping in to ask a couple of questions.

Firstly, will I really have to wait till the 15th of this month to have an interview scheduled? I spent all of these months preparing for the NVC and was able to get through rather quickly with only one false RFE, so I can't really complain but it just sucks to have to sit here now and wait for like what will feel like eternity for an interview to be scheduled.

Secondly, does anyone now how the process for scheduling interviews works? What I mean is, do the consulates allot an X amount of interviews for each type of visa per day or month? (If they do 100 interviews per day do they take 20 IR-1/CR-1 applicants, 50 K-1 applicants and 30 tourist visa applicants per day?) Or does it work in a first come first served basis (if they have 100 K-1 cases pending they will do 100 K-1 interviews on X day, etc)?

I'm wondering this because there have been a bunch of K-1 applicants who were also approved late April like I was and whose petitions were forwarded to the embassy around early and mid May who have had their interviews scheduled already (for July). My concern is that they are getting interview dates for late July already. I have been praying for a July interview but am scared that by the time slow NVC schedules my interview (in a couple of weeks as per them) July will be full and I will have to wait till mid July just to find out if they can squeeze us into August.

I really need and want a July interview because they have a policy at my job where they don't allow more than one person from my department to go on vacation at a time. One of my coworkers is going on vacation for 3 weeks in August. If I get stuck with an August interview I might not be able to go unless I beg, and if I go it'll probably just be a quick trip where I would have to return right after the interview. My husband has never traveled outside of the country so I really don't want him to do POE at JFK all by his lonesome. He would be completely lost!

If anyone knows how the scheduling system works I would appreciate a response, however, if you think that each consulate has its own system I guess I'll have to give them a call.

Thanks for any replies and good luck to those of you still waiting for the NVC to quit with the bs rfes and complete your cases.

From what I understand, K-1 schedules their own interviews. So it's an apples to oranges comparison to CR1/IR1. Also, the 'only scheduled on the second week' thing is a line the operators feed you (along the lines of 'It takes 20 business days to review your submission.'); Saylin's was scheduled in the fourth week.

So uh, keep calling and badgering for your interview. Crossing fingers it'll be convenient for you!

A July interview is totally not out of the question for you. The NVC *says* they schedule in the second week of the month for the next month... to my mind, that should be next week, rather than the 15th necessarily. I CCed the first week of May, interview scheduled second week of May for 21st June... there is someone with pretty much the exact schedule as mine in the June Interviews thread from your embassy (interview scheduled 14th May for 21st June). Since you CCed late May, your interview should be scheduled soon and it could very well be for the 3rd or 4th week of July.

The NVC does actually schedule interviews throughout the month (not just in the second week), but from what I've seen a lot of people who CC at the very end/very beginning of the month will get assigned their date in the second week. I hope you get yours next week!
