Thanks guys. I kept having dreams last night that they scheduled interview date already. I would wake up and then have a similar dream!

Can't wait to have my husband here. This process is starting to make me go nuts.

In regards to my RFE, I called up the NVC operator making sure that I should send my entire package again (per first operator) because it states on the RFE letter to send in the required documents. Let me just say I wish I hadn't. She was the WORST NVC operator I've ever spoken to, she sounded like she had no clue what I was explaining to her, she kept telling me to call up agencies in Thailand and request my birth certificate since I was born there...I felt like saying "hello Stupid, I just told you records beyond 20 years are not kept, and they cannot find it, which was why the UN issued me a letter of seal in liu of my birth certificate, what do you not understand?!?!"....anyways, she was pretty worthless so I just hung up on her while she was in silence for at least 10 seconds using up any brain cells she had left to put together what I had just explained to her.

I received an e-mail last night confirming that they are currently reviewing my RFE documents, and should take another 20 business days...

*Sorry just needed to rant*

That sucks! There has to someone there that could help you...a supervisor maybe? Hope you can get that sorted out soon.

I called today too, to check on my case. It was the first time I lost patience with the operator. I explained to him that I'd sent both packages, and gotten several RFE's now, some of which were conflicting, and all of which were certainly incorrect (ie, did not send marriage certificate, when I know for a certainty I did). He snidely asked me when I sent them, and when I said 2.5 weeks ago, he said, "Oh, well then, allow 20 business days for..." at which point I cut him off and said I'd had quite enough waiting and wanted to know what was going on with my case. If they have enough sense to get in touch with me to send them things I've already sent, then they can at least tell me whats going on now. Unfortunately, he insisted that this was all he knew, which is a load of hogwash because other operators have given me better.

Its immensely frustrating to spend so much time accumulating evidence and paperwork, ensuring it is all put together in the easiest and best way, overnighting it at great expense, and then having the NVC botch it like this.

I asked for a supervisor 2 days ago, and they said they wouldn't transfer me. Perhaps I'll try again if there isn't any forward motion by Tuesday. Unfortunately, they're closed Sat, Sun, and Mon for the holiday.

What the hell is going on with the NVC???? Since they seemed to get things going quicker I thought they would be better than USCIS...not looking like it at the moment.

They seem to be pretty quick at reviewing cases...but I'm sure they would be a whole lot quicker if they quit wasting time sending fake RFEs to ppl! Sending ppl the same RFE over and over again with no further instructions, or sending RFEs due to a missing birth certificate when you have given them what they asked for when a birth certificate is not available, is just plain ridiculous!! I am so sorry that some you are having to deal with what seem like completely incompetent and some downright rude ppl at the NVC.

Fingers crossed that having a nice Memorial Day weekend might jolt a few of these ppl back to reality and they get to work without anymore hold-ups!

Well that took awhile! laughing.gif Do you know why it took so much longer than the normal timeframe to get your PCC? Either way, you finally got it and sent it off, so grats! Hopefully you get a CC soon!

No definite reason why it took so long...came back clear as I knew it would. Have a feeling it had been sitting on someone's desk for awhile before they sent it. Called them three times..first time they told me it was done just needed a final check and then they would post it, second time they told me it wasn't done yet and to call back after a few days, third time I actually got a nice lady who tracked down the person responsible for processing my application and got her to call me back within 15mins - she told me....and this is a bit of a concern..'I've got it here in my hand and I will post it today. Good thing you called because sometimes they have a habit of being mislaid when they go to someone else's desk for a final check' - WTH!! So I definitely think the first lady was right...it was already done but ended up 'mislaid' on someone's desk for over a week!!

But your right...done now...so on to the next step..more waiting for CC!

I did not personally talk to a supervisor. The first two times I was put on hold and than was told that the information will be passed down to a supervisor. Last time I talked they couldn't get a hold of a supervisor and said that they will ask a supervisor to look into it. I will give them a couple of days and call back on Wednesday or Thursday cause I called and reqeuested so much and sent so many e-mails this week that I will give them several days before calling again. I will try to relax and be patient.

No answer at NVC? Anyone else just getting infinite ringing when they call NVC?? I figure that no one is working there today due to holiday, but seems like the automated system ought to be up and running still. Anyone hear/know anything??

Yeah, I noticed that too. Probably was shut down for the holiday.

Thanks guys. I kept having dreams last night that they scheduled interview date already. I would wake up and then have a similar dream!

Can't wait to have my husband here. This process is starting to make me go nuts.

That sucks! There has to someone there that could help you...a supervisor maybe? Hope you can get that sorted out soon.

Thanks, this process is driving me nuts too! Especially when you have to treat government employees like a bunch of 5 year olds. KISS lol.

My husband will call NVC tomorrow and maybe DOS (but is that only when you get CC?), he's going to try and speak to a supervisor because this is ridiculous, we don't have a valid RFE (nor a lot of the ones they issue), but we could've had a CC last week if only someone looked at the package we sent in and not skim through it.

*Fingers Crossed* I'm hoping they stop with the ridiculous and fake RFE's and just review the packages a bit more thoroughly, either it's laziness or being careless, but it's a waste of time and money on both ends.
