I've just received an RFE regarding my unobtainable birth certificate...so I called NVC and the lady said I should re-send my entire IV package again with a note in the body of the e-mail...I guess they don't thoroughly read anything.

The funny thing was that we received the RFE at 4 in the morning! I wonder if someone just skims through the package, noticed that there was no obvious birth certificate and just issued the RFE.

My letter of seal issued by the United Nations should've been sufficient evidence along with my mother's affidavit. It's kind of bothering me because it met all the requirements stated on the NVC website for unobtainable birth certificates.

I just hope this RFE is sorted out soon. Bunch of monkeys.

Remember guys, NVC will issue an RFE during working hours, but the system is automated, so there's a time delay on when you get the actual email, thus the early times for getting emails. A lot of my emails from NVC were also in the early morning before working hours. There wasn't actually someone working at 3 or 4 in the morning, it was just the system.

I called the Nvc this morning. They said they had reviewed the iv package and were going to send me an rfe for the marriage certificate, and for the entire i864 package. This is getting frustrating, because I sent the I 864 first. Also, there was definitely a marriage certificate in the iv package, I distinctly recall cramming it in because it was an odd sized piece of paper. The operator gave me the same "call back in 20 business days" response. It's absurd, in the last 3 days I got an rfe for both packages, an avr saying they'd received my rfe response (even though I'd sent nothing) and now this. Charming.

Oh, that sucks, I was just hoping that they had a shortage of workers working around the clock, and therefore only skimmed through packages lol.

Do you have other suggestions incase they won't accept my birth certificate letter from the United Nations? There is really nothing else I can obtain because the UN is a pretty legitimate authority.

I hope I get an interview date before the end of July with this delay

Wow, that is frustrating, you sent the original marriage certficiate, and now they want another because they've possibly lost it?

I am just browsing this thread...still waiting on NOA2 Approval...looks like around late July here.

Anyways, What's the consensus on sending the IV and AOS packets. Together, separate? I have heard mixed responses on this.

Thanks in advanced.
