Okay, I'm doing some Google magic, so I should find it soon. I just figured maybe I was missing something blatantly obvious on the NVC site. So I assume that since this envelope is sealed, my wife shouldn't open it at all...

Yes, your wife CANNOT open this envelope. If it's not sealed when she gets to POE, big trouble will ensue.

have a safe drive to the states, Saylin!

Yeah, I don't think I'll sleep very well tonight, especially since I have to get up at 7:30am or so. But I think I'll get more sleep tonight than the night of my interview. I only got 2 hours of sleep that night laughing.gif

Hey Saylin,

On your Electronic wiki page, you listed that signing in other than blue ink will cause an RFE. My husband and I have always signed in black ink (including the I-130), and we haven't had an RFE. I read the instructions page for the I-864 under "How should I complete this form", and it specifies to use black ink.

Is that a common RFE for using black ink instead of blue to sign/fill out forms?

It won't ALWAYS cause an RFE, but I've seen it happen where someone signed in black ink and they got an RFE since NVC thought it was a photocopy. As for the I-864 instructions, I believe it's either talking about using black ink for additional sheets (if there's not enough room), or it's just about completing the boxes, not actually signing the form. I just suggest using blue ink, just in case.

Oh okay, their instructions are always so straight forward...lol Hope we don't get an RFE for that.

One more question! When you submitted your pre-filled DS-230 at the Montreal consulate, did you have your case number written at the top of each page?

I don't think you should get an RFE since you scanned everything and they can't say it's not an original signature or anything, they wouldn't be able to tell.

For the DS-230, I actually didn't write the case numbers on it at all. Although looking back, if I had remembered, I would have, just in case.

Were you able to print off your DS-260 review after you filled it out? I was only able to print off the first page, it kept directing me to an error page after that.

I had to fill out another DS-230 because I found some errors on it, and made sure it matched the DS-260 online.

I'm trying to ask you all of these questions before you go MIA for a few weeks after POE lol :)

Nope, I was able to print all the review pages to a PDF, then weeks later I printed them out. I remember reading of another member who also had problems printing out the DS-260. As long as you have a filled DS-230, you'll be fine as that's all they want at the consulate.

And I'm not going MIA. I just won't be around during the day tomorrow, Friday, and Saturday since I'll br driving. But I'll most likely log on at night, depending on the hotel's wifi. I'd never leave you guys! no0pb.gif

You're such a doll! What would we all do without you???

Be sure to get some solid sleep tonight before your long drive tomorrow, and it's nothing more annoying than having to deal with POE when you're exhausted. My brother-in-law lives in Lake Placid, NY and I think that's only a few hours from Montreal, he said that it has been pouring rain and crappy out, hopefully you'll get some great weather to drive in - Be safe! Keep us posted if you get wifi at the hotel :)

I won't be going anywhere ever, so you will never know what you'd do if I weren't here :P

Yeah, I'll try to get some sleep tonight. Although I have someone coming over at like 9pm to buy my mattress so I'll be sleeping on the floor tonight! laughing.gif

And as long as it's not torrential downpours, I'll be okay with the weather. I actually prefer driving when it's gray out cause there's less sun, and my eyes are super sensitive to the light, even with sunglasses.
