Requesting a specific day for the interview...

hi everyone,

i faxed my package 3 back to vancouver yesterday morning and was just curious about how they schedule the interview date.

do they just randomly give you one?

or do you get a choice?

i have read on here that some people requested a specific day and got it.

how do you go about this?

Anything i've seen on here from those going through Vancouver is that after the checklist is faxed back, you usually hear right away when you have an interview, and it seems to be about a month after you faxed your sheet in. I think jen and Darcy requested a specific date because he was going to DisneyWorld and would probably be gone if the above was true, like...a month after faxing the form, so they requested a date after he had returned from vacation, which I think they accomodated. If you have a specific date in mind, that's maybe in or around your medical or when you're going to be in Vancouver anyway, you probably have nothing to lose by asking for that, but more than likely, they'll give you one probably the beginning of October as it is. I emailed the Vancouver Consulate and requested the date for my daughter's K-2 interview. They responded that the date I requested was available, and off we went.

They are very good about answering their emails.

i just emailed vancouver and requested a date of october 16th.

i really want this date because it means that my husband will be able to travel with me.

i sure hope to receive a response tomorrow.
