Hey guys!

My husband is planning a trip to brazil to follow me on my interview. I have read that there are some embassies that you have to go by yourself for it. Does anyone know if my baby can go with me to the Rio de Janeiro Consulate? I mean if he can participate of the interview or wait for me inside of the embassy.

Thank you!

He can go with you to the interview and he can sit in the waiting room with you. Usually, Rio lets the petitioner attend the interview (Ie: Go in the room when the interview happens), though sometimes the CO doesn't let the petitioner into the interview. It's up to the CO to be honest.

From the reviews of the Rio Consulate I read on this site, I only saw maybe 2 or 3 out of 100 that said the petitioner wasn't allowed in.

If there is any question when you arrive there for the interview about whether your husband can attend or not, just bring in his passport when they call your name so the CO sees it and/or say something such as "My husband is here. Would you like him to attend?" Or just ask some of the people in the room who are there to help with paper organization etc.
