Well our 3 weeks together are almost over.We have about 18 hours left until I have to go to the airport and I just cant stop crying............I already miss my Jim and I'm so worried how he'll do once I'm gone.

My son is looking forward to going back to his Day Care in Germany and all I can think of is how much it'll hurt to be away from Jim.

I know it'll be for yet another 6 to 8 months and that just drives me so crazy...................

We will put our I 129 in by the end of next month, and hopefully everything will go fine then...........

Sorry, just had to share my feelings.

I really admire the people who have had to spend so much time away from their fiance/husband/wife. It makes me realize how lucky myself and Rob were with only 2 weeks apart.

I feel so sad for every one who is separated and really really wish that they'll be re-united soon and live many many happy years together (F)

Peace to All creatures great and small............................................

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

The distance is really difficult, but also offers an opportunity for personal and relationship growth. Those of us that have to go through this understand the phrase "you don't know what you've got until it's gone". That separation reminds us of our feelings and draws us closer together. We also appreciate the time we have together and when we are reunited, we always remember what it was like to be apart. It is really difficult but the foundation of the relationship is solidified in those moments of heartache.

Cherish the time you have together and never forget how it felt to have to say goodbye.....that will help you get through things when times are difficult. It's a great thing to feel that terrible, because you know you love that much.

All my best and a big hug.

(((((hugs)))) (F)(L)

Paul and I met on the Bazaar on the 14th January (he joined my progressive rock forum that day)

July 3rd he flew to England to meet me

We fell in love while he drove all over the place coz I cannot read maps (we were supposed to go to Ingleton - but touched Darlington 4 times, Pierce Bridge 6 times, Scotch Corner twice and Bernard Castle twice and we never did make it to Ingleton)

It has been so long and so much has happened in between...

Arrived in Houston on October 29th 2006

Married 17th November 2006

Lost my father 8th January 2007 (all dates are a blur after this)

Conditional Green Card dated 24th October 2007

I always say its a feeling I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. There's really no words that anyone can say to make the hurt any less, but I'm still so sorry you have to go through this.

My heart goes out to you (L)

I couldn't have said it better myself-I can't explain to anyone how I felt the day I took my man to the airport(after he was here for 3 months), I took comfort in the fact that he would be back soon. At that time neither of us knew that he would be denied entry a few months later-don't think I've ever cried so hard in my life.

That is what is so great about this site-we can all relate to eachother. Friends and family may not understand the depth of pain we go through on a daily basis, but everyone here understands.

hugs everyone (L)

I agree with all of you here that it's a horrible feeling, and my (L) goes out to all of you! I am currently apart from my fiance as well...and we all know how ####### this feelng is.

This is my only advice: I am not a pollyanna sort, but at the same time, I do try to pull some benefit out of the time apart....if only to make the time go by faster! I have taken to working all sorts of hours....busying myself with projects...goals that I want accomplished before D gets back here. That way, I can minimize the time I spend wallowing.

Now, it doesn't take ALL the pain away...but it certainly keeps my mind busy. We all know what it's like when we're waiting for time to go by...well, how about in the meantime using that time to your own advantage? As I said, I work crazy hours...but I also know that now is the time to do so...because when D gets here, I'm going to be busy with OUR life together as well as having to juggle job/other responsibilities/etc. So as much as I am heartsick & heartbroken that he's not here, I still think in the back of my head 'enjoy the freetime now, because things are going to change real soon'

I do hope this helps at least one person!

Good luck to all of us! And a big (((((HUG)))))) to natashabrenda & marriedmylove!!!
