Medical exams are primarily about making sure the fiance has had the required vaccinations (or will get that before AOS in the US), is not bringing a contagious disease into the country, is not a drug user or does not have a mental illness that could put others at risk. There are medical situations that result in denial or that require a waiver.

Classes of Aliens Ineligible for Visas or Admission.-Except as otherwise provided in this Act, aliens who are inadmissible under the following paragraphs are ineligible to receive visas and ineligible to be admitted to the United States:

(1) Health-related grounds.-

(A) In general.-Any alien-

(i) who is determined (in accordance with regulations prescribed by the Secretary of Health and Human Services) to have a communicable disease of public health significance, which shall include infection with the etiologic agent for acquired immune deficiency syndrome,

(ii) except as provided in subparagraph © who seeks admission as an immigrant, or who seeks adjustment of status to the status of an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence, and who has failed to present documentation of having received vaccination against vaccine-preventable diseases, which shall include at least the following diseases: mumps, measles, rubella, polio, tetanus and diphtheria toxoids, pertussis, influenza type B and hepatitis B, and any other vaccinations against vaccine-preventable diseases recommended by the Advisory Committee for Immunization Practices,

(iii) who is determined (in accordance with regulations prescribed by the Secretary of Health and Human Services in consultation with the Attorney General)-

(I) to have a physical or mental disorder and behavior associated with the disorder that may pose, or has posed, a threat to the property, safety, or welfare of the alien or others, or

(II) to have had a physical or mental disorder and a history of behavior associated with the disorder, which behavior has posed a threat to the property, safety, or welfare of the alien or others and which behavior is likely to recur or to lead to other harmful behavior, or

(iv) who is determined (in accordance with regulations prescribed by the Secretary of Health and Human Services) to be a drug abuser or addict, is inadmissible.

(B) Waiver authorized.-For provision authorizing waiver of certain clauses of subparagraph (A), see subsection (g).

Dont know what to think. Today my doctor sounded weird and said she did not liked my analyses. Should i worry abuot visa?

I think if you had a communicable disease, a mental disorder or a history of drug abuse, you would know that.

What was the doctor referring to - did she clarify? Did you ask for explanation? Can you call her office and find out? It seems pretty unlikely that whatever she meant was related to your visa!

Nothing like this, my past is like white sheet. She said abuot blood tests and liver, and said she will check more. I will lose mind till i get know.

So I want to know what they check in med exam in blood tests, so i could say my doctor to turn attention to this part and do checking before I go to probably meaningless med exam and visa process.

According to 'my' doctor, they check for tuberculosis, HIV, syphillis and other STDs. They basically run the blood tests to check for HIV, syphillis and, in some cases, to determine whether you've taken vaccines that you claim you have but has no records of. They ask for the X-ray to check for tuberculosis.

I don't know about other diseases that would cause a denial, but I know if one's HIV positive, then they're ineligible.

But Ieva, try not to worry. For what it's worth, you're having a check up and should you have any diseases, you'll have the chance to treat them.

This is not strictly correct, as people with HIV require a Visa Waiver to continue with the process.
