I just had a standard interview for my husbands I-130 petition on Tuesday. It was at my local office in Phoenix. My interview was at 11:35am so I went in at 10:40am just to be safe. I was so afraid of missing the interview! Well I ended up sitting in the waiting room till 1pm, when they finally called me back. First thing the woman did was put my under oath and then the questions began! First she went through everything with me that I had put on my husbands petition (mine and his birth dates, addresses, work history, husband full name, etc.) Then she had me start from the very first time we met and she wrote EVERYTHING down that I told her!

What date did you meet? How did you meet? Where did you go for your first date? What was the name of the place? How did you continue seeing each other? Did he get your number or did you gets his? How long before your parents met him? What was their impression of him? When did you get engaged? Who proposed and how? Did he ask your father for permission? How did your father feel about you getting married? Where did you get married? Why did you marry on the date you did? Did you have a reception? Why are you just now filing for this visa?( because we have been married 4 years)

Does your husband work now? Who all does he live with now? Have you ever met any of his family? Do you have any evidence of your marriage that you would like me to add to your file?

Then I had brought tons with copies of everything for his file:

House Deed and insurance policies with both our names

Flight Itineraries

Cell phone call logs and about 200 used calling cards

Anniversary cards from friends and family

Medical records showing we are trying to conceive

Affidavits from family and friends

and hundreds of pictures of us together with family and friends

After all of that she handed me an approval notice and I couldnt stop myself from crying hehe

The woman that interviewed me was sooooo nice! I thanked her several times after the interview for being great! Told her I was scared because of other people in immigration that I have talked to throughout this whole process and they had no compassion whatsoever. I ended up finally leaving immigration at 3:30pm. Never imagined it would have taken that long but so greatful it is done and over with. Look out NVC cuz here we come!
