Ok so we got our noa2 on the 21st of this month for myself and my son who is 3 :D . What exactly happens now? I know I have to wait a few days then ring the NVC to get our case number but then what? I've read so much stuff and it just confuses the hell out of me so can someone dumb it down for me haha. Also, the ds forms.. do we need to do separate ones for my son or do I just add him on mine? Do we have to pay fees for both me and my son too? When can i book my medical? Does my son need a medical too? Also, does he need to be at the interview? Sorry about all the questions I just wanna make sure I know what needs to be done. Thanks in advance. :D

None of your questions are dumb. This is not a easy process. So, I will try to answer your questions the best way possible.

The AOS fee of $88.00 will cover you both. You do not have to pay this twice.

The IV bills, you will pay TWO IV bills @$404.00 will come out to $808.00 visa bill for you and lil guy The medical examines: Yes! you and your son will need one. It is a requirement.

You will also need to fill out separate forms for each applicant, you and the lil guy.

The only question that am not sure of is if he needs to be at the interview.

Lastly, go to the NVC website, and out your embassy info in , and they will give you a list of approved Dr's that can perform your medical examine. Also I think you will want to wait until they send you the packets to get the medical, because it's a certain form you will need. So, again no questions is dumb. THis is what this forum is for. Good Luke , and congrats. Am sure if the info is not write someone will check me :))))

So, you do pay 2 separate AOS fee's? WILDD,I asked one of the rep at NVC about the AOS fee, and she said I only pay one flat $88.00.

okay, am back with some info regarding the AOS fee. This info came from the NVC website. SEE THE BOLD:I paid the AOS fee for one case; do I have to pay the same fee for my other cases?

You must pay the Affidavit of Support fee for each case unless you are a U.S. citizen with petitions for your spouse and/or child(ren) concurrently in process at the National Visa Center. Note: payment by cashier's check or money order must include all fee bills in one return envelope with one check on top.

This only applies to U.S. Citizens.

My case was complete last April 6, 2011 then...and got interview date of May 11, 2011 and my daughter's case was approved at USCIS last April 5 and it was expedited..and we requested NVC to expedited it....maybe that is the reason why we paid AOS twice..coz mine was complete...and hers still at NVC...
