I'm curious about the following topics and I hope I could get some :help: from you guys. Thank you all in advance and have an awesome journey :)

First, to know about the processing timeline; just keep checking Igor's List. You'll soon become addicted like the rest of us.

I was Vermont, and for a long time Vermont was much slower than California. Now they both seem to be going at a decent pace. It took about 5 1/2 for my NOA2; California has been a little quicker than that.

As for coping with the wait; it's difficult. Here's what I found. At first, it wasn't too bad, we had just started and it was exciting. After about 3 months, it got difficult, we talk on Skype all the time and there were days when one of us would just have to say, "I'm just sad today". There were days when you'll be sad for no reason except the wait is getting to you. Just let each other know when you're feeling that way and lean on each other for support. Around 4 1/2 months the wait got easier because I knew ours couldn't be too far away. But then, right before we got approved, I was really anxious again. I saw people from around my date being approved and I really wanted our approval to hurry up and get here. And finally it did.

The key to coping with the wait is just keeping in touch with your fiance; talk to each other, let each other know how you feel. Always be as positive as you can and support each other when you're feeling down.

Hang in there; your time will come.

You can also look at the VJ timelines (which is the data used on Igor's list) - it lets you sort timelines by country, service center, etc.

http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/k1list.php?cfl=&op1=&op2=&op3=1&op4=1&op5=5,6,7,8,10,11,13,14,15,16,17,18,20,21,22,23,25,26,27,28&op6=All

Our NOA2 was 3 months 30 days from NOA1 via CSC - filed when both CSC and VSC were overwhelmed and significantly slowing down. We were told to expect 5+ months but made it through a little faster - although "fast" is relative when speaking about USCIS. Our approval email and text message came the week after it was actually approved - our hardcopy of NOA2 came the next day.

Hang in there. It is what it is.

hello to all seems like we all have the same issue the waiting game...igors list is what i use to give me some sanity and just comparing time lines..so far its been 90 days for us and just waitin like everybody else but i see that csc is really tryin to move quick there at the date of dec 13 so i think its movin along but i have seen some lucky ones that slipped thru quick go figure but i guess the time waitin helps with getting all other paperwork together and readin up and other questions that come to our minds..good luck to all and remember just a day at a time and dont hang yourself up on the process it goes by on its own time...

We went through CSC, and I have to say all things considered in our case it did go by faster then expected. Our NOA1 was dated 12-29-2010 and our NOA2 was dated 04-12-2011, so not too too long.

We didn't cope with the wait. It was hard, it is still hard. We had other issues and even requested our case be expedited but we were denied. You just have to be as patient as you can and know that this is something that for right now is just not in your hands. Try to find solace in one another during this time. Make plans and try not to let the stress turn into arguments with one another. We were guilty of that a time or two. Just stay strong and remember that this will all pay off in the end. All of it will be worth it and in the grand scheme of things this is a very small portion of your life. You will look back on this a few years from now and think how quick this all went by.

I wish you both the best and if you need an "ear", I will be more than happy to help you in anyway I can. Good luck!!!

California Service Center

NOA-2 approved 5 days after NOA-1

I worked extra shifts at work and kept myself busy. Saved money because we really needed it from not being able to work when I first got here.

No challenge at the medical or interview. Both were simple.
