Was happy to see my stepdaughters' US certificate in the mail a couple of days ago in a brown envelop with an 88 cent stamp on it. How would one track that? With both conditional and ten year cards, still have the envelops, that also came in first class mail. Everything we got from the USCIS came in first class mail. No such thing that I am aware of where we could send in a couple of extra bucks and have it sent overnight with tracking.

I have to be careful, within a week, can fill up a large shopping bag with junk mail. Practically all the junk mail I receive looks far more official than anything from the DOS or the USCIS. So you got me wondering how you got tracking information on your ten year card. Nothing we ever received or about to receive from the USCIS had any form of tracking information.

When our ten year cards never came in, called my senators office, apparently folks at the USCIS will lie to me, but not to my senator. I suggest you do the same.

Would delight me to deport the entire USCIS for fraud rather than the other way around.

NickD yes there is a tracking # for all the GCs that are sent by the USCIS. The first time I called them I asked to be transferred to a level 2 agent right away.Told them that we were planing to move,we were not I just wanted to get an info. I told the very nice lady she was really nice to me that I wanted to know if it's been sent already because we're moving and I don't want it to fall in the wrong hands. She then gave me a tracking number so I can track it myself. She said they decided to put tracking numbers on the GCs so they can track it too and for proof that it has been delivered. It even has a delivery confirmation so I guess they're covering their bases too.

About 3days of tracking it the status was not changing and I still don't have the GC I decided to call the post office where the GC was mailed. It was mailed from Corbin Kentucky. The moment I gave the tracking number to the post office employee she said "ah this is an immigration card they mail it here in bulks and we get thousands of them everyday"....Apparently all the GCs are coming from kentucky. She told me that they shipped it the same day they received it.I got the USPS consumer affairs in California involved and though she was nice it was all in vain they can't find it even the postmaster general in Kentucky has no idea where it went.I reported it to USCIS and the agent told me that he documented all my concerns and my calls I was told to wait 30 days grrrrrrrrr.....I filed 2 more cases with USPS and nothing happened the idiots there that they were not responsible. It's like communism I said I'm pissed at them but I have no choice but buy their stamps still.....my husband decided that were not gonna pay again so I just got a stamp on my passport...

I got my 10yr GC this month. It is nothing close to junk. It stood out of my mail. It is a white USPS bigger than a regular envelop. The ones you get at USPS when you want to send something in a non-regular manner, now sure they are called "first class". They are usually white with USPS written on it in blue with some red. The sender can tag tracking on it, in this case USCIS. Thus if you call them they can give you a tracking no. Times have changed!

Congrats on your GC. Yes times have changed. I never had a problem with my visa journey I can't believe I became a victim of the USPS...

thank you very much I'm hoping for that too...after all the stress I'm keeping my fingers crossed that USCIS will be considerate...

HA!...I didn't receive my iphone 4G in the mail thanks to USPS, its been over a month. So don't worry,...your not the first, won't be the last.

And likewise in the same situation, USPS did not want to accept responsibility either, they kept shifting the blame and running me in circles like they did to you

While my wife's 2 year and 10 year cards arrived they both had her sex as m instead of f. I feel your pain! Not only did we have to fill out the I-90 twice and wait for a replacement but I had to deal with selective service. Gl2u.

How long did you wait for the replacement card? They told me to wait 6more months thats why I did not file and of course that i have to pay for it...One kind USPS employee told me that filing a case/complaint against them is just useless.Their 1-800 number assigns a case number and instead of them doing a follow up they just email the concerned local post office. They told me to call them after 2 days because they will do their investigation but it was just a waste of my time. There was nothing new that they can tell me except wait for the card..Useless morons!!
