So it's been a week since I landed in VN, I came to have our wedding and also to bring her back with me, there is no way in hell I would let her come over by herself. Back in days when we were still apart, I enjoyed reading and seeing pictures from VN as it gives me a little comfort somehow, so I'm starting this thread to share pictures of my time here. I will update reguarly as I still have 5 more weeks to go. I have few friends coming back next Tuesday for our wedding as well, so things will prove to be interesting.

My friends had a surprise bachelor party for me on my last weekend before I leave the states, they took the old saying "ball and chain" literal and locked me to a ball and having me tackled down. I had it on for a good part of the day.

Sorry to be a little off topic. PLEASE do not get married while in Vietnam. This will completely invalidate her K-1 Visa and you'll have to start over and file for a CR-1. Remember the K-1 is a fiancee visa and you're expected to marry withing 90 days of the beneficiary entering the US. If the beneficiary is already married when they try to enter the US then they are no longer a fiancee and the visa is thus no longer valid.

BTW, great pics. :)

Nice cleavage! Does she approve your posting of her racks on the net?

Edit: everyone is a millionaire in VN. No need to show off your $500k's. And almost all VietKieu tells their wives/girlfriends over there "Anh lam Ky su dien tu o ben My do em" (translating I work as an electronic assembler in a sweatshop factory)

She's a very conservative person so she's not fond of taking or posting pictures, but I think she's a beautiful person so I don't mind posting a pic every now and then, maybe I'm missing something but I don't see any cleavage in the pic.

I posted the pic of the money for comical reason as I already stated that I knew it wasn't much, so I wasnt "showing off my $500k's".

Telling the gf/wife that you're a doctor/engineer only work in the early 90's with the first wave of vietkieu's. Nbody believe that bs anymore. I don't really need to tell her what I do, she had my tax return for the last 3 years as well as 3 of my most recent pay stubs for the interview process so she has a pretty solid idea as of what I do for living ;)

Right about that 110%! It's because the time difference (for sponsoring purpose)between a USC and GC holder is 4 years, give or take. That's a LONG wait for most of them. Therefore, first thing they'll ask nowadays is "Co quoc tich chua vay anh?"

Vietkieu with only Green cards = VK dom (trash). VK with USC= VK dit nhom!!!
