If that started happening the crime rate would drop imo. If someone thinks they might get killed if they beat someone chances are they are going to think twice.

You'd like to live in a country where people shoot first and ask questions later? Doesn't sound like the US values I've grown to love.

Proven fact. Where we can ALL carry guns with no permit or license required, this DOES NOT happen.

Yes. Did you miss what I said earlier?

If you think that you as a civilian (or even where you a police officer) you can just shoot people even if they are brawling, you really don't have a good grasp on the law and you should not be allowed out with a gun.

You also have a very poor grasp on cause and effect.

Yes. Actually I do and the crime rate is virtually non existant. Which means that, hey, we aren;t shopoting first and asking questions later...but we CAN. That alone is enough to eliminate crime.

In the US there are only TWO states that do not allow concealed carry. Unfortunately most of them make it a fairly complicated process which reduces the number of available guns in public. What values are you talking about that you love?

Just checking...

So if someone close to you....or let's just say you lost your temper in public and started beating up someone you think it would be ok for a nearby stranger to come to the aid of the person you are beating up by blowing your brains out the back of your head?

India, gun buyback and steamroll.

What are you blathering on about? Being able to carry a gun is one thing, being able to shoot unarmed strangers who are brawling quite another. You have a very tentative grasp on reality.

I never said that. Link please. If you wish to debate me, please use my opinions and not ones you make up for me.

If my grasp of cause and effect is poor, please correct me. This does not happen in Vermont where we can all carry guns. If that ius not the cause of the effect themn tell me what is. (hint: Quebec's population is 7 times less dense than Vermont and they have a crime RATE/100,000 than Vermont...that one doesn't work)

So give me the reason and then tell me how you address it with legislation.

My gun and I are going to the grocery store...see you later. And the very best part is, you don't have to like it.

Yes, actually it is. If you determine that the actions of someone can inflict death or serious bodily injury on you or another person and that you cannot stop this action without risking death or serious bodily injury to yourself...you can use deadly force.

Pretty simple.

Vermont law and legal standard

The legal standard for the use of deadly force is whether a person reasonably believes that he or a third party was in imminent danger of death or serious bodily injury, and that deadly force was necessary to respond to that threat.

A man that intervened in a third party assault in November 2010 was the subject. The state Attorney General will not prosecute. If you do this you will be reviewed, in some states by a grand jury, but it is extremely rare for a person to be prosecuted for intervening to protect another. As I said. I have a gun and will take my chances. What about you?

THOSE are the American values Madame Cleo loves.

No, you never said that you would just shoot the buggers and the legal consequences be damned. .

That doesn't really fit the legal definintion of reasonable response. That you think it does is part of your delusion. Now, off you pop to the store all kitted out for war.

That you believe that not only could you shoot the buggers, but film yourself doing it with your cellphone makes you out to believe yourself to be some kind of mad superhero. Was that your intention?

All this macho talk about guns and shooting people.

I'm curious. Is a psyche exam prerequisite to purchase?

Apparently not, such a requirement would undermine the second amendment where every loony should have redress to shoot people if they don't like them.
