i know a few members have similar timelines and we're all waiting for those important dates...so i just want to update that i just called DoS and they told my my interview is on MAY 24TH 9:30am. so the date is made known a month after the ds230/2001 went into the system. packet 4 was just sent out friday HCM time so my relative should get it soon.

This is great news as I'm going back on May 6th for my son's CRBA appt on May 10th, and will be there for the interview also. I don't anticipate a pink slip even if my fiancee passes, as I would think the CO will wait until my son gets his passport before he issues the visa...but nonetheless i'm pumped that the timing worked out. could the CO conceivably issue the visa when the CRBA case hasn't been settled?

This is a great example of needing to check with DoS on a regular basis once pkt 3 is addressed...

Congrats... we are almost 2 weeks from the DS-* submissions. I will give it another week or so before I start grinding on the DoS. We are still waiting on her "Justice Dept" (background check?) anyway.

Funny story... As I previously posted.. the USCIS completely botched her address change. We knew it was about time so we had called and found out pkt3 had been sent, so we went ahead with the DS form submission 2 weeks ago, without having received the actual pkt 3. We submitted it at the "info window" at the Consulate, so that we would know it was accepted & also we resubmitted her address change. The Consulate confirmed that pkt3 had gone out 2 weeks earlier. That was, like I said, nearly 2 weeks ago. So.. its been roughly 4 weeks since the pkt was mailed out from the Consulate to her old address. Just yesterday her old neighbor intercepted the pkt 3 for her & called her. The mail dude explained he had been by about 1 wk earlier but could not find my fiance. I had had her go to the old address and tell the whole neighborhood what was up, but apparently since people work.. the mail dude didn't get the msg.

But talk about snail mail... Dear Lord! Sometimes, after all options have been exploited, and everything still crumbles down around you, alls a fellow can do is just smile & queue up the circus music... :bonk:

yes bang the DoS hard...use google calling so it won't cost your cellphone against those waiting minutes, i was calling twice a week. i noticed that each times i got updated it was on a friday, maybe coincidence or maybe HCM enters everything in on a friday.

thanks to tuanv for those interview questions i'll be drilling my fiancee hard when i'm over there (take that as you will)
