Taking Medical results to interview

I've "heard" that, if you have your interview right after your medical exam, that they will let you carry your results to the interview yourself. However, I've never heard anyone say that they actually did it; just that somebody else did. Does anybody know for sure that you can do this?

Thanks.

hmmm havent tried it...if they get your passport, its for sure your medical is ok. They will give you CD of your xray result as well as vaccination record that you can used for your AOS here in US. Usually n interview, the consul officer dont have any question regarding your medical since once they have your passport forward to USEM, it means your medical is OK...hoep this helps...

The Medical report is submitted by St. Luke’s directly to the US Embassy in most cases only the CD of chest x ray and Vaccination documentation worksheet are given to the applicants

I'm not sure they really allow it. It's a control to ensure that what the embassy receives are legitimate. If one is allowed to carry the results by herself/himself, St Luke's will be in trouble. So I wouldn't count on it.

Chinook and I have no personal knowledge of anyone being allowed to take their medical exam results to their interview. However, there have been several reports here on VJ of St. Lukes allowing people to take their medical exam results to their interview when the person requested it due to their interview being scheduled a day or two after the medical exam was completed.

Very recently, I read here in the Philippines forum where someone asked St. Lukes if they could take their medical exam results to their interview and St. Lukes turned them down. It's the first time I've heard of anyone being turned down.

If someone is worried that their medical exam is scheduled too close to their interview, and their medical exam results will not be delivered to the Embassy in time for their interview, and St. Lukes will not allow them to carry their medical exam results to the interview, my advice is to complete the interview as scheduled and simply wait for the medical exam results to be delivered to the Embassy. That way, the beneficiary would be set back only a day or two.

We're hoping to try and do the medical on a Monday/Tuesday and the interview on Thursday. You think that would be a problem?

All visa applicants, regardless of age, need to complete a medical examination at the St. Luke’s Medical Center Extension Clinic (SLMCEC) before the visa interview. Applicants are advised to have their medical examinations done at least one week before their interview appointment at the U.S. Embassy in Manila.

Yes, we were advised to have medical at least 5 working days before the interview as SLMCEC needs some time to write up the results.

I don't think it will be a problem. She can still complete her interview. The Embassy will simply have to wait a day or two after the interview for her medical exam results to be delivered to the Embassy before they can approve the issuance of her visa. If I were in your shoes, I would go ahead with the interview regardless of whether St. Lukes allows her to carry her own medical exam results to her interview or not.
