Hello everyone! My name is Russ and I live in Oregon. My fiancee's name is Yujie and she lives in Harbin, China. We met online last May and corresponded for a few months before I decided to take a trip to visit her. Yujie suggested that I should come to Harbin in January for the annual "Snow and Ice Festival". It was VERY cold to say the least! Even though it was bitterly cold, getting down to -20F at times, it was a magical time for us. I have never met someone that I have so much in common with, even though she lives on the other side of the world.

I started coming to VJ months before I sent in my I-129F, and like everyone else, I find forums and the content extremely helpful! I have sent the link to Yujie and she has also found this to be a wonderful website for information. She will be going to the Guangzhou consulate when it is time for her interview.

Thanks to everyone that makes this a wonderful, supportive community!

Russ and Jie,

Glad you found VJ early, I didn't find it until the NOA2 phase. My fiance is from Chang Chun, but has relatives that live in Harbin and Hebei. She sent me some very nie pictures from Harbin in 2008. Looked very cold! I visited her in Chang Cun in March of 2010, very cold there too. Welcome,

Rictodd
