Been coming here throughout our journey but never made a profile. Now there's good news so here we are! Finally NVC case "complete" as of yesteday. Spoke with NVC today and they said "due to heavy volume..blah blah.. [no interview in May]...blah" upon further inquiry, "Interviews are scheduled the 2nd week of every month" and finally, "unfortunately we cannot predict how long it will take"

Now I'm euphoric so I have that ever-annoying question: What does that mean?!? How long can we expect to wait for interview scheduling?

Really? LOL more uncertainty!!! Well atleast its the good kind hehe.

So while we're waiting, we wanted to ask advice about the next step: Anyone have Islamabad Consulate Interview experiences to share? What kind of questions, documents(since they already have them...), etc. should we be prepared for?

I've been hearing from friends the actual visit to the consulate is a terrible all-day ordeal and the wife is in another city so she will have to travel for the interview.

I didn't send my husband with copies of all the paperwork we had filed. Many people recommend that you do this. I only sent him with emails, letters I had mailed to him and pictures of our wedding. The CO looked at our emails and pictures. His experience with the embassy in Islamabad was a positive one. He said the CO that interviewed him was very kind and only asked him 3 questions. The questions were about my children and what we had in common.
