My friend's Fiance went to the interview in New Delhi, India and was asked to provide a list of all people that attended their engagement with their phone number and address and also provide a signed letter from parents of both guy and girl about how they feel about this marriage. Is this something common? My Fiance is waiting for an interview, should we get this ready and she keeps it with her at the interview in case they ask?

What should we write in the letter from the parents?

I don't think it's uncommon for India. There are some countries where they put a lot of weight on involvement and approval of both families. India is one those countries, and I know that Egypt is another.

You should check the regional forum for South Asia to get an idea what to expect.
