Packet 3 sent out from Guangzhou consulate but not received yet

Hi,

I called DOS and they told me that the packet 3 were sent out from the Guangzhou consulate on 4/14. It has been one week already but my fiancee has not received it. I assumed they sent it out by some express mail like EMS. So I asked DOS if there is a tracking number but they wouldn't tell me and asked me to contact the Guangzhou consulate. Anyone know if the consulate uses express mail to send out the packet 3? I know I can contact the consulate through the online E-mail inquiry. But I don't know when I should do that. How long do I need to wait before I email the consulate? Also, do they use the address of my fiancee's from the I-129F form? I mean the address from section B line 16 in Chinese?

I would give it another week and a half because there could be delays in the mail room or it just takes this long for mail to be delivered to your fiancee.

What is the phone number of DOS I should call to find out packet 3 has been sent out from Guangzhou? Thanks.

Welcome to the forum.

Here is a link to a VJ thread with DOS information, I believe dial 1, then 0, to get to a live person.

BTW, the VJ site Google search function can be your friend. :thumbs:

Good luck on getting your packet 3 issue resolved. Darnell's information on the Packet 3 shortcut is what we used to shave almost a month off our process at the GUZ consulate. He is probably the resident expert on the GUZ consulate. :thumbs:
