N400 Decision cannot be made but sent more docs after interview

Hi all,

I had my N400 interview on March 8, 2011 and was given the notice to submit more evidence. I was wondering if anyone have any clues when can I expect to hear back from USCIS? I have submitted additional papers like 3 weeks ago.

I was requested to send in more evidence and I did a couple of days after my interview. I heard nothing from them for a month and a half. After that I just got my Oath date.

Wait on it for a couple more weeks, if nothing happens go to infopass and schedule a time.

Did you comply with all of the instructions for evidence requirements? Or is this one of those deals where they want proof you paid the fine for a parking ticket you had ten years ago?

Actually, the above are curiosity type questions, if there is any type of hang up, your application gets stacked in a limbo zone, until someone gets around to looking at that stack. But its initially up to you to provide all the evidence so this doesn't happen to you. Were you told by your IO when you would expect to hear from them? If so, and that promise is not kept, gives you reason to contact your senators office for assistance.

Longest wait I have heard of was 15 months, and that happened to a friend of my wife.

Joined this board when sweating out the ROC stage, but slipped to the US Citizenship General Discussion, that is right here! Posts like this were even common back then. Elected to learn about it and we sent every bit of evidence we could find. Back then, the Chicago and St. Paul offices were asking for a joint utility bill as evidence, not even listed. But went to my local electrical company, the only utility left in town and added my wife's name to the bill. That was a dirty trick as was bringing proof of paid traffic violations just recently.

Just saying, if you want to prevent delays, in particular with marriage, can't send in enough evidence.
