Hello to all of you , i currently makes 22,000 goss income per year , i would like to know if that is sufficient enough to be over the poverty guide line or do i need an co sponser .

sincerely .

You need to check the 2006 poverty guidline info on the USCIS website There are various factors, such as number of dependants, number of people being sponsored, etc..

For a K-1/I-134, unless the consulate/embassy says otherwise, you have to be 100% over the poverty guidelines.

Check with the embassy whether they ask for 100% or 125%.

I only offer advice - not even legal. Just the plain and simple kind.

Depends on how many dependents, If its just you and your fiance then yes but if you have children dependent on your income either you or if your SO brings some then you may go over the line:

Look here for guidelines:

robby,

this will depend on how many people are dependent on you.

The only person depending on me that would be the person i am petetioning , my fiancee , so would that be enough ? i am confused with this guideline thing .. thank you for your help .

The 100% depends on how many people you'd support - yourself and your fiance - and what state you live in. Again, I advise you to check with the embassy about the 100%/125% level.

I only offer advice - not even legal. Just the plain and simple kind.

robby,

Even if the income number that you state is over the guideline, that's not the only factor that goes into a determination of whether or not your fiancee meets the public charge requirements of the law.

It's a good start, but that information alone is not enough that your question about needed someone else to sponsor her can be answered with any kind of assurance.
