Just for clarification..........

When everyone fills in the timeline regarding the NOA1 for example, what date do you use....the received date , the notice date or the date you actually had it in hand?

I used the notice date in my timeline.

Another question I had was , should there be a date in the "Priority Date" box on the NOA1 for the I-129F?

I realize that none of this makes a whole lot of difference in the end , but when minutes seem like hours while we play the waiting game , when we're comparing dates hoping for some hopeful news, a few days difference in the comparison can mean a lot.

Hi, CutienPurg.

Next to NOA-1 on the time line page, it says "receipt" in parentheses. I interpreted that to mean receipt on my end, because I would figure that's what we want to track ... how long it takes for the applicant to actually be notified. Am I right? Wrong?

Final Timeline

08-21-2006 ... I-130 sent to Texas

05-15-2007 ... My husband arrives in USA with CR-1

Well , the reason I asked the question was because after looking through other timelines I noticed some had their NOA1 date listed as just a few days (sometimes only 4) after they mailed it in, others listed the date that they had it in hand. Which led me to wonder how each person interpretted that. There really doesn't appear to be a right or a wrong , maybe just a difference in the understanding.

"Receive date" on the notice is considered NOA1 date. Thats the date they show online. The differencein number of days for members occurs cuz of mail delays.

the received date on mine was 14 days before the notice date and I actually had it my hand 18 days after it was received by the NBC. I mentioned before some list their NOA1 receipt day as the day they actually got it in the mail.

I personally am keeping close tabs on those little red lines on the " where the k3 stands" post and comparing my timeline to those. So , if there isn't a clear definition of noa1 receipt days........well you know.

So just to be clear .........we're counting from received date( on the noa1 ) to approved date ...correct ?
