RFE for divorce decree and travelling out of the US

Hello to all,

My mom has filed I-751 and has just received a letter that it was accepted and her status extended by one year (otherwise her residency was to expire next month ).

But because her divorce hasn't been finalized yet, I guess she'll be getting an RFE for divorce decree.

Can she travel out of the country if she gets an RFE?

Yes. But I would be concerned if they want more information, if she'll be there to get the mail and gather evidence.

Also, her biometrics appointment should be scheduled soon and she won't want to miss it. Once you have the appointment, she can always try a walk-in day and get it overwith early.
