Hi, Becca. I'm no expert, but I love to get my two cents in!

Do you mean your K-3 visa was granted today, or that your I-129F petition got an NOA-2? I don't see any information about your I-129F/K-3 process in your timeline, though it looks like it must be the I-129F and not the actual K-3 that was approved. If this is the case, then I personally would say it's too soon to make that decision. I'd let them both ride to see which one makes it to the Consulate first, then choose. Timewise, they seem to be running pretty close lately.

Good luck with whatever you decide!

if the I-130 for the CR1 reaches the consulate first, the I-129F for K3 becomes null and void.

If you're nearly done with the CR1, you might as well wait it out. Costwise, its probably better.

Becca,

Congratulations! Great News! Did he already pay the IV Fee Bill ($380.00)? Then you are better off pursuing the CR-1 route. But don't cancel the K-3 yet. The Embassy will cancel it, if they both reach the Embassy almost at the same time. Your husband still needs to send I-864 and DS 230 packet, so if everyting goes well, your case will be complete by 4 weeks after he mails them to NVC. He can get RFE regarding DS 230 and I-864 (I hope, he does not get one), so in that case, it would take longer for NVC to complete the CR-1 process. That is why, keep the K-3 running. It is just my opinion.

I-130 Timeline with USCIS:

It took 92 days for I-130 to get approved from the filing date

NVC Process of I-130:

It took 78 days to complete the NVC process

Interview Process at The U.S. Embassy

Interview took 223 days from the I-130 filing date. Immigrant Visa was issued right after the interview

Don't cancel your K-3...if the CR reach the embassy first, they will automatically cancelled your K-3. If that happens, it will be a big favor for you because you don't have to adjust your status anymore and just wait for the greencard

Goodluck on the rest of the process :)
