Hi everyone! I have to provide missing financial evidence in support of filled I-864 for a visa interview. I am very confused, since I have received this request by NVC for the second time, stating:

[x] It appears that there is no proof of current employment (a recently dated job letter or pay stub), or

self-employment status (a recently dated letter on business letterhead or a business license).

I am self-employed.

They have my tax returns (including schedule C), a copy of the status of my company by the state's Corporate Commission (printed from their website) and a bank statement, but I am asked for the second time for a recently dated letter on business letterhead or a business license.

My business does not require a business license, so I do not have one and I also do not use business letters.

Do anyone have a clue, what do I need do? My spouse's interview is in 2 weeks.

Thanks!

Do a VJ search for letter of self-employment. Make a letterhead with your business name and contact info and print on good quality paper. I did this and they accepted it. I also included a page taken out of my local phone book yellow pages showing my business ad.

Although I am working on a K-1 petition, I am also self employed and have been worrying about this same thing. I have tax transcripts and bank statements. I am also planning on getting a letter on bank letterhead stating the history of my business and accounts since I've been with them from the start 10 years ago. In addition, I will be getting a letter from my accountant stating similar history on her letterhead. I too do not have or need a business license or incorporation papers. That's the best I can guess from what I've read. Anyone else have any ideas???
