Advice- Moving from Japan to Singapore- K-1/DCF?

I have a kind of unique situation and I'm not quite sure what to do.

My fiance and I met in Japan and we ended up moving to Australia from Feb 2010-Feb 2011- at that time we couldn't apply for DCF because a working holiday visa isn't considered a resident. So we decided to move back to Japan and stay at least 6 months so we could use the DCF process since it is much faster than K-1, and because I didn't have any job prospects work out in America.

Fast forward to today- we are living together in Japan and have been here about 2.5 months- I am currently interviewing for a job in Singapore, that would be a 6 month contract, starting in a couple weeks. I'm trying to figure out what the best option is for us to stay together, so I thought I would ask here.

Is it best for us to get married in Japan, and then move to Singapore (she would have to come over on a tourist visa, extend, and renew in order to stay 6 months). I'm not sure if I would be considered a resident of Singapore after that 6 months, and I am not sure where we will be going at the end of that contract. Probably either try and find work elsewhere in Singapore (or SE Asia) or back to the US.

Here are the options I see, please correct me if I'm wrong.

1. Get married in Japan before we leave for Singapore- then if we find out we are going to the US, start the paperwork in the US for a spousal visa. It might also be possible to file DCF in Singapore if we are there 6 months, I'm unsure. That could mean a lot of time apart though- the spousal visa is currently taking about a year, isn't it?

2. Move to Singapore and if we find out we are heading to the US after that, start the K-1 paperwork ASAP (this may mean heading back to Tokyo for the interview?)

3. After Singapore, go back to Tokyo for a bit and file DCF- I have a one year visa good until Feb 2012, so that may be an option if I'm still considered a resident of Tokyo- though I suppose they might check the stamps in my passport, so this may not be an option.

4. If we don't end up going to the US- we have to figure out how to stay in Singapore (or another country)... which means getting married in Japan before we leave may be the best idea.

I didn't realize how hard it is to move around the globe with the person you love... I think if I was being considered for a full-time position I could get her on my visa as a piggyback, but since it is a 6 month contract position, I don't think that is possible, though I'm unsure.

Any advice?

Surely there is someone with a similar situation- moving from one foreign country to another with a fiance... perhaps there is another forum that would be more helpful?
