I don't really have any interest in whether you do or don't believe in deities but you do seem awfully convinced that hell fire is waiting to consume some folks and you seem rather keen on pronouncing who those folks should be. I just wondered if you understood the consequences of making such judgments were you indeed to be of the christian faith.

As for myself, of course I have the right to judge you on any criteria that I see fit, it doesn't mean diddly squat to anyone other than myself though.

What are the consequences of telling someone they will be roasted on a rotisserie if I am Christian? Is it bad? Will I be roasted too? Judge as ye shall be judged.

If you were a christian you would not presume to judge whether the actions or thoughts of another warrant their ending up in hell, such presumption would infringe upon the responsibilities of the deity and that is a fairly heinous sin. The quote you are seeking is judge not, lest you yourself be judged. As I personally have no belief in a personal caring god, it's all moot I just wondered if you understood it.

Since you don't believe in God, it's ok for your to judge since you aren't infringing upon a superior being? These rules are confusing me. And there are a various versions of the quote, you are being quite judgemental in choosing how it should be stated. The rotisserie awaits.

You are easily confused. If you believe in the christian god and the provision of heaven for those who are fit and hell for those who are not, you also are required to believe that it is not for you to decide who is fit and who is not.

Whether or not I am judgmental is totally irrelevant.

Never was there a more futile type of thread: Make a strong opinion that shoots down someone's prized religion or political view, and you set things up for an endless argument of rancor, ill will and bad feelings and where everybody thinks THEY are right and EVERYONE ELSE is wrong. Go ahead. Argue till Dooms Day. We're sure you will figure it out. Ho Hum.

These rules are confusing me.

Hey! :energy: You and I have something in common!:wacko: I am really confused too! :help:

I have so many many questions. I am sure, until I get the answers, the voices will never stop. :crying:

Example;

I am playing racquetball with 2 friends of mine. We are nearing the end of our last game of cutthroat. I'm winning this one, by a substantial margin. :star: It's mostly because I'm picking on the fat 1. He is really worn out and keeps flubbing his shot or missing my serve.

Suddenly, "Mr. Hates2lose" shouts at fatty, "Get in the game P###y!!" and "Man up! and stop being such a P##s!!" :ranting:

I was so shocked! :o

I went to him and asked, "Why would you say that in front of them?" (our wives were watching the game).

Mr. H2L asks, "What? Beacuse I embarrassed the P##s in front of his wife?"

"NO! Because you used something, they got and we all want, as a slur!" (that was me) :bonk:

"Helloooo!? (me again) It's counter-fcking-productive!!" and "You just attached a negative connotation to the P##s!" :bonk:

"I don't want a timid, inhibited and quivering P##s!"

(well there is this 1 "game" we play, train tracks/damsel in distress/me wearing a cape, top hat and handle bar mustache. Then I prefer quivering, while I'm twisting the mustache! ;) )

"I want that p##s to come out growling!" :girlwerewolf2xn:

I am so confused! :crying:

When will people learn to stop infringing on anothers' rights? and, Let others live life without hate and degradation for having a P##s!?

Rubbish. How many times have you responded now?

I can't for the life of me see any point in being one of these people who says they believe in god but then don't do one damn thing to follow the beliefs that go along with it.. All these "I'm a christian but I don't go to church or study the bible or live life according to religious principals" people; what does that even mean? I guess it's because they are too scared of the supposed consequences post death , but not scared enough to follow through with the things one is meant to do in life.

The OP shows far more honestly and integrity by being extremely upfront and honest about what he does and doesn't believe and then goes on to say that despite not being scared of the consequences of not being a 'good person' stands up and is a good person anyway.

I put the bible and god right up there with marvel comics and super man. Come on people it's 2011, not 1011.

"I want to take this opportunity to mention how thankful I am for an Obama re-election. The choice was clear. We cannot live in a country that treats homosexuals and women as second class citizens. Homosexuals deserve all of the rights and benefits of marriage that heterosexuals receive. Women deserve to be treated with respect and their salaries should not depend on their gender, but their quality of work. I am also thankful that the great, progressive state of California once again voted for the correct President. America is moving forward, and the direction is a positive one."
