How does posting about it prove that he 'cares' what you, or anyone else thinks and therefore must mean he has 'doubts' about whether or not deities exist? I call that glib, as glib as suggesting that conversely deists must have doubts if they feel personally attacked by the OP's posts.

All we can really know is that the OP is astonished that people believe in a deity, any deity and he is expressing that astonishment. The deists are equally astonished that someone can so resolutely reject deism. Neither position is very surprising is it?

Why do some people feel that the OP's post is a personal attack on them or their beliefs? I don't know, although I do see that sometimes the OP is very undiplomatic and abrasive and scathing towards deists I can see why those who believe in deities (specifically the christian god as that is the theology the OP seems to know most about, even if he is not very scholarly in his approach to what he understands of the bible) might wish to defend themselves but perhaps it would be better to defend your beliefs without trying to undermine the integrity of the poster?

I don't really have any interest in whether you do or don't believe in deities but you do seem awfully convinced that hell fire is waiting to consume some folks and you seem rather keen on pronouncing who those folks should be. I just wondered if you understood the consequences of making such judgments were you indeed to be of the christian faith.

As for myself, of course I have the right to judge you on any criteria that I see fit, it doesn't mean diddly squat to anyone other than myself though.
