Thats a pretty bold assumption that God has not and does not speak to people, there are a lot of people in this world, my friend..... how many have you checked with... or is this a matter of faith?

You know better, L.I. How can you expect to hear from G-d and have Him grant you everything in your 'wish-list' prayer when you basically spit in His face and deny Him ? Your own sin has caused this separation, or should I say the guilt of it. It is what happened to Adam and Eve. G-d used to walk with them in the cool of the day, but once sin entered their lives when they disobeyed ( and actually thought they could hide from G-d because they knew they were guilty of sinning !), they were expelled from the garden and the perfect life G-d created for them went bye-bye. Their relationship (not religion) with Him thus went out the door, too. Stop blaming G-d and stop making excuses for your unbelief. G-d isn't ignoring you. He speaks to you in many ways, but sadly you have closed your eyes and ears. So Prodigal (and I say that in a loving way), keep in mind eternity is forever and hell has no exits. And yes, the time WILL come when you WILL meet Him face to face, like it or not. Wouldn't you, on that day, want Him to say to you, " Well done my good and faithful servant. Enter into the kingdom of heaven." ? 0r would you prefer, " Depart from me you worker of iniquity, I never knew you . " ?

Because He is fair and just, and never pushy, He gives us mortals a free will to choose.

What if I wait until I die because then and only then is when we actually find out. Science is in favor of the Atheist and the Skeptic. 200 years ago I would have been a devout religious person.

What would be so wrong if I want to reserve my "final answer" until I actually die? Is that too much to ask an all-powerful and loving God? Apparently so.

Right now I don't know. I get no communication whatsoever. If I get a degree or a job it is because I earned it. So if I die and have a conversation with God I will obviously be very curious about this Fellow. I'll ask why you didn't just appear to us humans so we would all know? When the penalty is eternal fire how wrong was it of you to not let us know without a shadow of a doubt? Can you give me a tour of your creation? How did you create it? Who created you? The only reason you don't hear Him is because you don't want to hear. He speaks to me through my soul every day. You can't believe what you don't want to believe. There have been countless times in my life that I have felt Gods presence. All you have to do is believe and He is there. If you reject him then of course you don't hear Him. For your sake I hope some day you do hear and believe.

I have to ask this though. Most athiests are content with just looking at believers and letting them do what they want. You seem to have a real grudge against Christians. Why is that?

He sounds like someone that has real doubts about his atheism. He is trying to get others to justify his lack of faith by agreeing with him. Most atheists are content to live and let live. I don't go posting religious stories to convince others to believe as I do. Why else would he go out of his way to make fun of people of faith unles he were having doubts? At any rate, to be doing this during Holy Week shows a real lack of class.

I don't have any doubts. The topic is very interesting and this is a "RELIGIOUS FORUM", or is it not? I understand it pisses you guys off and you like to come at me and say: 'You make 3 threads a day on this topic' when I rarely start topics on the subject....Reality is I might have posted 5 topics in the last 3 years. Guess I really got inside your head to make you think otherwise.

If there is a Heaven then why are we here for a few decades? Heaven is trillions and trillions of years + infinity of pure bliss. For a couple decades in this life BILLIONS OF PEOPLE HAVE DESTROYED THEIR chances of going to Heaven. That is such a sick and twisted game.

Any "God" who creates such a short game (1 to 100 years) that involves 2 end points: Eternal Bliss or Eternal Fire is 1 sadistic ####### (He really is a ####### - or does He have a Da-Da?).

To be doing this during Holy Week shows G-d is indeed speaking to him !(perhaps through 'conviction'?) . He is bringing up the subject of G-d, so he must be thinking about G-d.
