My wife also got a B2 visa, but we were denied the first time. We found out that it was because she wasn't employed at the time. A month later she did have a job, and she got the visa with no trouble.

What we did do was get invitation letters from family inviting us to America, and about 10,000 USD in her bank account to show she had the means to return to China. Also, you will need strong evidence of your marriage and the evolution of your relationship. The best way to prove you have ties in China is have evidence that family and loved one depend on you for help or care, and that you cannot at this time immigrate. Its doesn't mean you won't immigrate later, but that you understand and will return to the US once your trip is over.

The trick if your denied to keep trying, each time getting more evidence that will help your case. Most people give up after the first rejection, but it usually takes two or three tries. Once you have the visa you can keep it by easily renewing it each year in China without having an interview. You can keep the Visa while you wait for your immigration visa, and could technically live in America with your husband while you wait.

***** Moving frokm CR-1 to Tourist visa forum as the OP is asking about a B2 *****

The failed F1s may come back to haunt you, but even if you do not live in your country of citizenship, you can show ties to where you now live- enrollment in university for one, a lease to an apartment, bills... But yes, with a husband in the USA, your chances of approval are small.

Bye: Penguin

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.

You certainly have a lot of inaccuracies:

Last month, you (or your husband - living in Boston) posted this topic asking which service center it will be for processing: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/302874-which-will-be-my-service-center/page__p__4576000#entry4576000

then he is asking about CR-1 visa (only get it if spouse is USC petitioners, F2A is for spouses of LPRs) http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/305868-how-long-from-filing-the-i-130-till-getting-interviewed/page__p__4616588#entry4616588

The first two show clear immigrant intent - that's what the I-130 is for.

Next you're toying with a permanent ban with misrepresentation: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/305933-getting-married-but-applying-k1-or-b2%26-65311%3B/page__p__4617199#entry4617199

And in this thread you're not interested in immigration.

So, which one is it?

B1/2 is not going to be easy for you.

You are married to a LPR and you have attempted various visa like F1 in past which got rejected - mean the CO is going to assume you are just making various attempt to join your husband in US who is LPR.

LPR spouse normally takes years before they get the visa so CO would assume you are trying to go around the rules and trying to enter the US on different grounds.
