Perhaps after years of wall to wall coverage, Afghanistan and Iraq just aren't newsworthy anymore. Stories come into and out of the news for any number of reasons - including, yes, political ones. You can speculate on the why all you want, as can I. Without tangible evidence to support your conclusions, idle speculation is pointless.

(trust me, it talks a lot more than just hate)

An excellent book by two very well known political psychiatrists and their characterization of how people that are frankly crazy, say, do, and believe crazy things when it comes to politics.

CSPAN does well enough. Her group, "Code Pink", can be seen making appearances in every open committee meeting, as they are escorted out of the room by Capital Police.
