I called today which is exactly 2 weeks since we were approved for i29F Petition, which is now at NVC, they tell me that our case has been held for additional processing. What does this mean? Has anyone had to go through this? They tell me there is no time frame and Im worried that it could mean a long time. But she could not tell me what is being done for additional processing. If USCIS approved it,, is it likely they will also? Or can they deny it?

Hi, Yes this happened to us. Our case was at NVC for 14 days. Your case is going through more background checks and no you won't be denied there. You can call each day to see if your case has been forwarded to your embassy. Don't be worried it will be leaving there soon. Good Luck :)
