But how legit are these travel agents over there any way? I was thinking of telling him to go directly to the airline and check for the price himself...he wants to fly back with me in July on EVA, I really don't like any other airline.

If you plan to fly back with him then I recommend you buy both tix here..for the peace of mind. Or..get a quote for the date you plan to fly back and ask him to go both EVA office in SG @ 2A-4A, Tôn Đức Thắng, P.Bến Nghé, Q.1 (08) 3822 4488 and any agents he knows to check on the fare..then decide. You guys still have lots of time until July, but make sure you check the date of his visa expiration next week when you get it. Good luck!!!

Thanks for the info. Ronnie! They quoted me around $900-$1000 here...kinda expensive for a one way on EVA!

Congratulations!!! Peace and many blessings for your future together! :star:

Thanks Michael! ....Good luck to you and your other too!

I spoke to the lady I usually get my ticket from in Little Saigon, who charged me $1060 round trip LAX to Saigon including visa early May. She said that $900 one way from Saigon is the usual price for that type of ticket. It is what it is.

Congrats...

Your timeline shows 442 days to pink. A very long one... Had me a little nervous til I noticed your pckt 3 sat dormant on your side for quite a while.

Anyway thank you for providing the interview details. I wonder do they normally not look at the Dinh Hon fotos, or was it just this particular dude?

  Best!

Actually,it was the consulate's fault, they did not send the packet to the correct address, we didn't find out until way later, that's when I had told my fiance to go to the consulate and pick it up...I can't really say about the engagement photos, but this CO was very particular as to what he's looking for...he wants to see the genuine side of our relationship...that's why he looked carefully at the content of our letters and the nature of our photos...Good luck!

Have you two said thanks to your aunt yet? Without her intro, you wouldn't be where you are today! You don't have to do it, but Karma sometimes is a $@%#%#$@$@. Don't wait til it happens to you, then it might be too late.

He only wants to fly on Eva huh? Tell him whatever airline he's on, it's A WHOLE LOT BETTER than those boat people back in the 80's. 50 plus people cramming into a very small boat, floating on the ocean for weeks, then in camps for years.

Ngheo ma bay dac doi an xoi gac!

Just remember, life over there in VN is NOT real! Your money will be worth a LOT less once you get back over here. Back to reality, cowboy!
