Hello everyone! What a journey! I am so thankful for everyone, especially Scott, Jim, Ronnie, Curtis, Anh Map...and many others who has helped me and my fiance on our preparation for the interview,...Thank you especially to those who gave us words of encouragement to keep the faith! :innocent:

His interview was very short and sweet...despite the fact that we were worried about me having only visited him once before the petition, he passed! So to everyone who's still in their journey...believe in yourself and your relationship and you'll be fine. Let me know if I can help you in any way...I'll post the details later! :dancing:

Good luck and take care!

Leelee and Tuan

Congratulations to you both.

I know you had a lot of concerns - family not at the engement, engagement on first visit, same last name etc. This just goes to show once again that every case is different, and if you present the info in the correct way and it's real then you will most likely get pink. I'm glad you didn't let the negative posts get you down.

Now go build that smoking patio

You are absolutely right, there's no formula...the CO that interviewed my fiance was very pleased with what he saw...the CO was constantly nodding with uh-huhs and good, good as he browse through the evidence...particularly the pictures of me and my fiance's family doing things together.

No smoking patio necessary, because he's a non-smoker! :)

Congratz Leelee & Tuan!!! Pickup your visa next week before buying the plane tix for him..

Welcome to the Club

Thanks Ronnie! I just called one of the travel agency and they said one way from VN to U.S. is $898.00 cash! Yikes! That's a lot for a one way trip...does anyone know any cheaper rates out there?

2 weeks ago i was quoted $720 one way HCM to lax china air. this was for the may/june months. of course when summer rolls around it'll be more expensive.

my round way tix for may 6th was $1025 china air...and i chose to stay overnight in taiwan to save $100. eva and others were all $1250+

edit: i just did an orbitz search for hcm/lax may 6th and it was $479...very cheap. if my fiancee was free to go on that date i'd insta buy right now.

That's about what I paid for Hang's one way tix from SGN to SFO. Tell him to look around in VN, there are lot of ticket agents..you may find one cheaper from there, you will need to pay with USD cash :P
