My husband just applied for aos and did biometrics yesterday so far very smooth. My question: He wants to bring his brothers over here. How soon to apply and what are the waiting times. Could I apply for them to come or does he have to because legally they are now family to me. I am looking for the fastest way to do this. can anyone give me advice? thanks. Oh, also, I would be able to finacially support them when they get here.

I don't think "Brother-in-law" counts as a brother in the eyes of the USCIS. Your husband will have to become a USC before he could sponsor his brothers.

As for a fast way to do this, even if they were your brother, the current date for processing 4th priority family based visa applications is 1995 IIRC, so you'd be in for a good long wait.

20 years may be an exaggeration, but it will be a long wait for sure. And there's really no other way. Your husband's brothers would have to obtain a visa by some other means, i.e. diversity lottery.

I'm afraid that just because your husband gets a green card, doesn't mean his extended family has the green light to come live here. USA would be a lot more crowded if that were true.

Ya but my house the more the merrier lol. I feel bad cause he has no family here and they are a close family and i have such a good relationship with his brothers too. I live in a town where there arent any muslims and I would love to have someone from his family here so he wont feel so alone in his religion. He is afraid to go to the mosque here because he thinks they are being watched and he doesnt want any problems. I told him not to worry but he says he knows more then me so...... maybe he is right

Your husband first needs his citzenship before he can even consider sponsoring family members. And as dr_lha said, it'd be a long wait after that.
Your husband will need to be a USC before he can file for his brother... you will be in for a very long wait 6 years + and that is after the 3 years your husband will have to wait to become a citizen....

A couple of things....

1. Writing in caps equates shouting in real life. If you do not shut up, nobody will talk to you.

2. There are many ways to immigrate. This board primarily deals with Adjustment of Status based through family immigration.

Ways to immigrate are too numerous to list, especially not knowing anything about your husbands brothers.

Information about DV visas:

http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/ty...types_1322.html

Information about DV2007 ( requirements are going to be similar)

http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/ty...types_1318.html

The most basic requirement - over 18 and high school education or equivalent. If they get selected, further processing will cost quite a bit.

As to "thousands of dollars" - you are most likely thinking about investor visa, I believe it starts at ~500K.
