Translation on the document from beneficary for NVC?

Guys im so confused.Today i called us emabasy in my country and they told me to wait to see the instructions from NVC and i will see how the documents doesnt need to be translate it.Even i was thinkin to puit it appostile on them?Im talkin about the documents from Beneficary for National Visa center.Please tell me what to do because im trying to figure out my papers before the instruction came ,to speed it up the process there.

USCIS:

10/13/2010-marriage

11/15/2010-I-130 packet received

11/17/2010-notice date

11/23/2010-last update

04/08/2011-I-130 Approved

04/16/2011-received NOA2 hard copy

NVC:

22/04/2011-received NVC case number

Generally, documents at the NVC stage that are in the local language used where the Consulate or Embassy is located, do not need to be translated. There ARE exceptions, however. Guangzhou comes to mind. You'll need a Consulate specific answer.

That is correct.

In terms of my situation, Hindi is the national language of India. My wife's Birth Certificate is in Gujarati (the state that we are from). The consulate gave us these options. Either translate the documents to Hindi, English or both. It would be wise to just translate the documents into English as you never know when you might need it in the future for further immigration purposes and you are immigrating into a country where English is the dominant language. This was the exact words from the consulate in Mumbai (Bombay)

If you can, and it's not that much of a hassle I would get it translated into English for peace of mind.

It all depends on your consulate as well.
