It was a breeze and a half! He got to the officer and immediately stated that he wanted to enter the country on a K-1 visa, and presented all his documentation. The officer looked it over, opened the packet, and the only question he asked was when is the wedding date. Simon replied that it is on 30th September, the officer said he has 60 days to marry, stamped his passport, and said he was done!! Easy as pie!

Although - with three international flights coming in at the same time, this whole thing took almost two hours by the time he made it to me! But the delay had nothing to do with the immigration process.

YAY!!! He's here!!!!! :dance:

06/30/06- "USCIS received case back from the Department of State for further review" email notification

07/06/06- RFE email notification

07/19/06- RFE received by USCIS email notification

08/07/06- NOA2 (again)

08/11/06- NVC sent to consulate, received I-797C Notice of Action confirming case is approved (snailmail)

08/14/06- Consulate receives approved petition

08/29/06- Interview

08/31/06- Visa Approved !!!

10/07/06- Arrived US with my Love !

10/11/06- Vaccines done

10/07/2006 WEDDING DAY!

11/14/2006 AOS packet made it to 'the box' after being overnighted.

12/02/2006 Paul had biometrics

12/14/2006 AOS Forwarded to CSC AND AP Application approved.

01/17/2007 First touch of 2007 at CSC

01/20/2007 Touched AGAIN (also the 18th) come on...

February: Oops, RFE for a REGISTERED marriage certificate. Oops! Overnighted it.

02/28/2007 Paul gets email letting us know his GREENCARD is on it's way! It's done...for now!

03/09/2007 Paul's greencard arrives. And breathe...

We began with mailing the I-129 in on February 27, 2006 so the whole process took us approx. one year.

I came in via Detroit yesterday as well from London Gatwick! :D I agree the officers at detroit were very nice as were all staff who fast-tracked me at all security points to let me make my connection.

Congrast on being together :D

I-130 for both parents

March 28th 2013 - Priority date/ NOA 1
November 14th 2013 - Transferred to Nebraska Service Center

January 7th 2014 - Case changed online to approved for both

January 8th 2014 - case changed to shipped to NVC

January 9th 2014 - case changed to NOA 2 mailed

January 10th 2014 - Received the hardcopy of the NOA 2 stating that NVC would issue a case number in 30 days approx.

January 21st 2014 - Case Received at NVC

February 26th 2014 - Case numbers and IIN number received - Wrong embassy code assigned...now waiting for new case numbers.

March 3rd 2014 - Filled in DS-261 for both parents

March 5th 2014- AOS available, paid and submitted AOS packet.

March 6th 2014 - USPS shows packet was delivered at NVC

March 10th 2014 - AOS shows as paid in the CEAC portal/AOS logged into system as being received by NVC.

March 11th 2014 - New case number assigned for my Dad.

March 20th 2014 - Paid IV fee for my Mum.

March 25th 2014 - AOS accepted by NVC with no checklist.

March 26th 2014 - Filled in and submitted DS-260 for my Mum

March 31st 2014 - AOS found in my Mum's file for my Dad - accepted and placed into his file/IV fee available for my Dad and Paid.

April 1st - Mailed all civil documents to NVC for both parents.

April 3rd: IV fee shows as paid in portal/submitted DS-260 for my Dad.

April 22nd: checklist issued for civil documents - NVC error ...

April 23rd: sent another certified copy of my marriage certificate

April 24th: Case complete! :)

April 30th 2014 - Medical scheduled for parents at Knightsbridge in London

June 11th: Interview at London Embassy - Approved :)
