Hello VJ family! I hope everyone is doing well.

I have a question and hope someone can help me out.

For proof of ongoing relationship, are we supposed to submit proof from day one or only new evidence after filling k-1?

I submitted lots of documents during my initial filing but not sure if my fiancee should bring a copy of what I sent or just bring new info.

Any information would be help!

Thanks much!

take a whole copy of the package you had sent and try to go with your fiance'.

my fiance came with me, I had a copy of everything we had sent before my interview. my interview took 2 minutes, only 3 questions were asked, how we met, what I do, and when do I want to go. lol

its really easy, don't worry about it, like I said try to take a copy of the whole package you had sent, hope you have one.

She needs to bring a copy of everything and the proof of ongoing should include anything from the time you met until that day... A timeline of relationship is advised given we are talking about HCMC... Be sure to include evidence of adhering to VN cultural norms like photos from your Dam Hoi...

Moving to VN regional for HCMC specific responses...

I am just curious. Has your fiance had her interview yet? If not, now would be a great time to prepare proof of an ongoing relationship. Gather evidence from day one up until the present day. In other words, get evidence from the first time you communicated with each other until as close to the interview date as possible. This should include all the evidence you already submitted with the I-129F petition. If you made a copy of the entire I-129F package, airmail it to your fiance. Evidence of an ongoing relationship includes but is not limited to pictures, emails, chat logs, phone bills, evidence of engagement ceremony, etc.

Others have already suggested a Time Line which should be a detailed description of your entire relationship from the day you met until as close to the interview date as possible. Please have this notarized by your bank for example. Most banks provide this service for free if you have an account with them. I would also prepare a list of your residency addresses for the last 10 years. Recently, it has been noted on many blue slips for evidence. Neither of the aforementioned documents are required by the Consulate, but they have issued blue slips requesting either/both at a later date.

If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to post them. Good luck!

6/1/09 - 6/11/09-----> First meeting (Japan)

11/11/09 - 11/21/09-----> Second meeting (Japan)

2/7/10 - 2/14/10-----> Third meeting (Vietnam) (First trip to Vietnam)

4/1/10 - 4/11/10-----> Fourth meeting (Vietnam) (Second trip to Vietnam)

5/5/10-----> I-129F: NOA1

8/27/10-----> NOA2

12/20/10-----> Interview Date

Thanks everyone for your feed back.

My fiancee has a copy of the complete package which I gave to her when I went last month.

She has not had her interview and actually still waiting for NOA2 which I expect in mid May. My plan is to get one more trip in July and go when she's scheduled for her interview.

I hear that being there seems to help!

Thanks again!
