travel to Morocco

For anyone who travels to Morocco:

Is there any cheaper way of getting there besides flying directy to Casablanca ? I am a full time student and my fiance lives in Morocco for now so it's really hard for me to go see him because the flight is so expensive. Has anyone ever flown to Spain and taken the ferry and train into Morocco? If you have any ideas let me know! Or if you know any websites with good airfare deals let me know too. thanks!

I never went to morocco from spain but I had good luck with tickets to morocco through Orbitz..... they were pretty cheap even not very far in advance.

We have been looking into airfare options for a possible trip in December. We thought about flying to Madrid, taking the train to Algeciras, and then a ferry to Tangiers. Have you checked the ticket prices for the trains in Spain? HOLY! It is cheaper to fly. I don't know where you are located, but for us in FL, it is cheaper to fly from Miami to Madrid, Spain on Iberia and then take Iberia from Madrid to Tangiers. Ticket prices have appeared to be about $560 (without taxes) round trip. That is much cheaper than Royal Air Maroc to Casablanca. If you are going to Marrakech, you might consider a cheap flight to London and taking Atlas Blue (a relatively new/cheap airline) to Marrakech.

Just some thoughts!
