Arizonans almost barred from the Presidency

Yesterday, the grotesque Governor of Arizona vetoed a new law at the last moment.

It was close

The law banned anyone without a long form birth certificate from running for president in Arizona

Someone whispered in her ear that Arizona itself does not issue long form birth certificates and it would ban all Arizonans from running - except John McCain who was born in Panama

So now..

They are substituting a requirement that every candidate should submit a Protestant baptism certificate as though that proves where you were born

The reptilians always play this the same - it is reminiscent of the Alabama literacy test where black people had to guess how many pieces of bubble gum in a 2 foot tall jar which contained thousands

Who votes for these people ? It's a mystery to me. It's a good job I am just watching the game.

The reason that people vote for Reptilians and thus against their own interest is that their malicious plan works, plain and simple.

Education is the great equalizer, as Barack Obama's career proves so convincingly, so if you give Us the People education, they'd be tempted to ask questions that have a real meaning and the bubble would burst. But since the electorate is concerned with the Kardashians' lives, doesn't know where to find Morocco on a map, doesn't know why FDR was the best President of modern times, doesn't understand that Cowboy Reagan started eliminating what FDR had created, doesn't see that they themselves will get f*cked so badly when Social Security would be converted into a coupon system, they are holding on to their worries about gays, and Planed Parenthood, and Jerry Springer, and the myth of high taxes, and vote for their own execution.

American has managed to slide from "US Number 1" (in about everything) to #32 to #64 in the world, often next to Uganda and Mongolia. The plan works, and the winners are the multi-national corporations who control the media, the elections, and the politicians.

There is no room in this country for hyphenated Americanism. When I refer to hyphenated Americans, I do not refer to naturalized Americans. Some of the very best Americans I have ever known were naturalized Americans, Americans born abroad. But a hyphenated American is not an American at all . . . . The one absolutely certain way of bringing this nation to ruin, of preventing all possibility of its continuing to be a nation at all, would be to permit it to become a tangle of squabbling nationalities, an intricate knot of German-Americans, Irish-Americans, English-Americans, French-Americans, Scandinavian-Americans or Italian-Americans, each preserving its separate nationality, each at heart feeling more sympathy with Europeans of that nationality, than with the other citizens of the American Republic . . . . There is no such thing as a hyphenated American who is a good American. The only man who is a good American is the man who is an American and nothing else.

Heck someone who thinks like me ! (on this subject at least)

Now the challenge is to tell the American public that they are being suckered and they are voting for their own extinction by the 2%.

The problem is that if a furriner suggests that anything is wrong and needs fixing, the native population automatically assume that someone is 'criticising America' by suggesting that something needs fixing

I suppose that trying to class O as a furriner would not just disqualify him by law, but would disqualify him on the grounds he is foreign

This week they said Ariana Huffington was acting like Marie Antoinette - this made her French, and in this culture that is a disqualifier for anything

It's ironic that in a country where almost everyone was a foreigner a few generations back, being a foreigner is seen as the most marginalizing attribute that anyone can have

It's funny to sees someone who's family came from Poland in 1897, claiming the founding fathers as their own and anyone who arrives more than 60 seconds later is to be regarded with suspicion. I bet the Indians wet themselves laughing at all that stuff.

I suppose the Arizona thing raises two issues - one is 'the problem with furriners' and the other is the ease with which elections and election regulations etc can be rigged so obviously - and the riggers get away with it. It most countries they would be seen as slimy and underhand and 'not the done thing' and these people who rig literacy tests and elections would be run out of town. In the USA , they are seen as 'savvy' and 'sharp' or as having 'horse sense' - but if there is a hint of being bright or sophisticated or educated, then they would be dropped by their own people - because, 'clever' is not wanted here

It's fascinating but it can't end well for the 98% victims as they lose their social security and Medicare and teachers and police and social fabric - while they sit looking at the 'coupon' that replaces it all

I have zero entitlement to SS or Medicare and I don't have small kids who need teaching and my passport etc is up to date - I need public sewers and a road and little else - but I will be voting for government services, while the people who need them will be voting to kill the services and to give the saved money to the 2%

Its like a bad dream

My wife's sister in law was a Mooney and is now a baha and thinks like a baabaa - I look at her and think 'why?'

It is so strange. What is the matter with people ?

Poor granny with her health care voucher - it's only the 12th of January (January 12th) and she has blown it already !

She should walk into a field and die of hypothermia - it's the only patriotic thing to do

Any granny who returns for second helpings after their voucher has expired is acting like terrorist and freeloader. She is anti-American and an America hater - trying to destroy the USA economy because the US wants to be free to neglect it's grannies and the weak in general and should be allowed to do so (military excepted)

The irony is that the good 'ole boys who vote for this will have to look after granny at home and change her diapers while she dies of cancer, instead of being free and at liberty to go to the NASCAR meetings

Seriously now, as someone who has been close to these situations and managed to slide out out of it and offload it onto professional nurses, and only because of shared responsibility (communism to you), it is an enormous benefit to have government services and any of us can need them badly - either directly or indirectly

That's a rather simplistic and arrogant explanation as to why others don't vote as you do. They are stupid and uneducated?

Oh jeez!

"Credibility in immigration policy can be summed up in one sentence: Those who should get in, get in; those who should be kept out, are kept out; and those who should not be here will be required to leave."

"...for the system to be credible, people actually have to be deported at the end of the process."

Testimony to the House Immigration Subcommittee, February 24, 1995

What do you reckon the reason is that people vote against their own best interests ?

My mother used to do it too. She thought that most people were freeloaders and always voted right wing - it's ironic that she lived to 95 and got sick at age 70 and had hundreds of thousands in socialised medicine subsidies.

To those who who would leave their fellow man (and woman) to die, the only justice would be for them to get a voucher and then find that they needed the wider commuity in order to keep on living

My mother wasn't thick or undereducated (thought she left school at 14 which everyone did in 1928), but she had 'an attitude'. When she was 94 she told me that she hated everyone and even hated herself. Perhaps this is the defining thought pattern of the right wing.

Perhaps the 'America haters' are those who only have regard to that small portion of the American public that are like them - and the idea of universal care means people who are not like them 'would get something'.

In order to 'love America' you have to love all of it and all the people and render them assistance in their hour of need.

I have always been disgustingly healthy and I will drop dead having incurred no health costs at all - but I don't mind paying something towards those who will need care even though some of them will be reptilians who wouldn't stop to pee on their fellow citizen if he was on fire

What exactly does Arizona call a long-form birth certificate?" A detailed birth certificate with extensive birth-related information, such as date and time of birth, the doctor's signature, the hospital and parents' names, and birthplaces of the parents.

It's a shame, then, that the Democrats have as few good intentions as the Republicans then, isn't it? The Democrats in Congress and the Senate singularly failed (as the Republicans didn't have the votes to affect the outcome, even if they had wanted to) to deliver a healthcare system that will let Granny live out her days in peace and comfort without bankrupting her if things go horribly wrong, because they sold their souls to the insurance lobby anyway.

The problem isn't the Republicans. The problem is Washington. Washington is bought and paid for every two years, the White house every four. Neither side is working for the American people at this point. And, until the American people wise up and realise this, nothing is likely to change.

I agree, but even if everyone is on the same page, I'm not sure anything could be done. It takes large sums of funds simply to get someone's name out there to the general public. To get those funds they have to sell themselves.

I don't know, maybe with new media its possible, but I imagine a large percentage of the population still votes relative to what they experience from television....especially the older generations with their greater turnout.

Its very frustrating that government in general is run by a worthless profession - politicians. The best way to describe the situation is this. You have a population. The best and brightest are selected and they go into physics, biology, technology etc. Then you find a group of people that are effectively good at marketing - themselves - and you say hey you are our next leader...only on the basis they can sell themselves. Think about it. What are our leaders really?

The bigger question I have is...why do you presume to know what is or is not in my (or anyone elses') best interests?

Fixed that for you. Where have you been the past couple of decades? Hell, if we could get the best and brightest back into science, that would be a start. Right now, they're all on Wall Street cooking up the next generation of finance vehicles that nobody understands.

Perhaps you can explain how disqualifying USCs without a long form birth certificate from running for president is in your best interest. Sounds rather odd to me.
