Hi everyone,

Just wanted to share with you that I went to check the status of my petition today at USCIS website, and saw that we got a RFE. The RFE hardcopy was sent today April 19th. I have no idea what this RFE is about, but I'm "happy" to know that at least they checked our case.

Ughhhh....I'm annoyed....

It's ok to get an RFE because you are now aware that someone is checking your case. Unlike what happened to us, we are September filer and we are waiting for almost 7sevens, April 24 will hit the 7months mark. Till now we don't have any idea about the status of our case as we don't receive any feedback.

Considering we have the same timeline I'm very excited that you heard something.

I am expecting a RFE since I didn't send any evidence, still don't know what I'm going to send :bonk: ....but at least Vermont is moving, was not expecting them to start working on November until next month.

Good luck to you, I hope its painless! :)

Be happy! This means you should get your NOA2 in well under 6 months, and it looks like that's beating the odds at the VSC.

Actually, they already received their "NOA2" (it was the RFE). NOA2 means second notice, not approval notice. Instead of NOA1, and NOA2 just say receipt notice, RFE or approval notice - it would end a lot of confusion.

No! USCIS will not give you any information about your RFE, you have to wait for the hard copy. I took 6 weeks to receive my NOA2 after my RFE.. Good luck!!!

hi every one i just want ask about when i sent RFE to the USCIS

HOW MUCH TIME IT TAKES TO GET NOA2?

BECOUSE I'M SO DISAPPOINTED :(

USCIS says 60 days, HOWEVER, I received e-mail RFE notice on April 1st, hardcopy got to me April 7th, I sent my response April 8th, USCIS signed for my response (I sent it registered mail so I could track it) on April 10th, their website said they received it April 13th and were reviewing it, and I got approved on April 14th (although, their website wasn't updated until April 18th). I think depending on WHAT the RFE was, the turnaround time can be VERY quick. Good luck. I think very rarely do people have to wait the 60 days.

We got an RFE as well, on April 4th, and I was feeling the same way as you. Disappointed that we got an RFE, but also relieved to know they are working on our case. The reason for our RFE was that they needed more evidence that we have met in person within the past 2 years. In our original petition, we sent a letter detailing how we met and began our relationship, the timeline of our relationship, and also photos of us together where we wrote the date and location. The problem is, photos do not count as evidence because they do not have an electronic date stamped, and therefore they cannot guarantee that the photos were taken within 2 years. In response to the RFE, we sent copies of plane tickets from the two times I visited Brazil during the past year, and also tons of evidence that my fiance was living in the United States within the past 2 years (employment records, university records, drivers license, Visa paperwork)...and also copies of every page of both of our passports. In the passports, they could see the dated stamps from when I entered and left Brazil, and also my Brazilian tourist Visa.

I hope that this is everything they were needing! Good luck with your RFE...I hope everything goes smoothly!

I got the RFE e-mail on Monday and the hard copy letter today.

The only thing the RFE was for? They wanted a passport size photo of me.

I sent one of me the first time around!!!! My fiance and I had the photos taken at the same place, so I know they were the same specifications and everything.

They just wanted one of me though...not of fiance this time. I guess his were ok? No idea what was wrong with my photo, or maybe they lost it.

Of course, I was all paranoid and made the girl at the passport place take my picture six different times and measured it obsessively with a ruler to make sure the eye level was 1 3/8 inch from the bottom....I am all worried that it won't be what they want and they will send another RFE. I just think they like to mess with people sometime. UGH!

So stressful, but I know we will get through it. *Hugs*.
