After the President is sworn in, they take him into a dark room and physically threaten his family.

"If you want Sasha and Malia to live to see adulthood, you're going to forget everything you promised during your campaign. Play the game and your family will be safe. Don't... and sometimes accidents just happen."

Hey... Hillary and Obama disappeared for a couple of days in '08 to attend the Bilderberg meeting...

Don't put all that past them.

Yes. Either that or the electoral 'promises' are simply devices to get elected. Hmm, now which is it?

Seriously, the guy was too young and too inexperienced to tackle this list. I expect he very soon realised it was a case of taking advice and playing it safe and being an ok president because the alternative would have been chaos. You need to have a network of senators who will support you in order to push through tricky policy and for that you need time to build these relationships. As far as that goes, Obama just didn't have the network established, he'd only been in the senate five minutes and no other relevant networking experience. I always thought Obama was a curious choice for president, but radical he is not. Personally, I don't think he ever saw himself being a radical president, I think his personal goal is to be a historic president.
