I sent in all requested documents that were indicated on the checklist and still got this email today

Dear Sir/Madam:

Your inquiry has been received at the National Visa Center (NVC).

A letter was sent to the agent of choice or attorney of record indicating the Immigrant Visa Application and/or civil document requirements for this case are incomplete. Please submit the requested Immigrant Visa Application(s) and/or civil documents, as indicated on the checklist. The requested information must be submitted to the NVC for this file to continue processing.

Please visit the following website for Immigrant Visa Application and civil document processing instructions:

http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3190.html

The NVC is sending a duplicate packet. Please allow at least 10-15 business days for the packet to arrive.

If a period of one year passes from the last date of contact with the NVC (by email, telephone or mail), all submitted fees and documents will expire. In that case, your fees will need to be repaid and documents will need to be resubmitted in order to continue the immigration process.

Can someone tell me what's going on here? This is for a spouse visa

it could be anything from a short birth certificate instead of the long one to a divorce decree that they want a certified copy of or there could be something missing such as copy of something needed for the s/o call your attorney and for sure call

nvc

if after your talk with nvc you know that you sent what they are requesting to your attorney previously then i would have a real problem with the attorney

just my opinion

from my time spent at nvc calling is better and more satisfying ... you talk to a human and can ask anything to do with the case instead of waiting for a email and thinking of a question to ask again in another email that would have came up in the phone call because of the information nvc just gave you

just my opinion
