Hi All,

Its been so long since I've come to the visajourney website. The information I found were instrumental in helping me get my wife from the PI here to the States. Now I am helping my mother's brother and his wife come to the States. Right now she is asking how much money we should send to him in the Philippines to gather his documents. Say if its just typical documents for both my uncle and auntie which are:

1)2 passport size picture.

3)birth certificate (all original from

a) local civil registrar (LCR)

b) national Statistics Office (NSO).

4) a photocopy of their passport (front and description)

5) National Buerau of Investigation (NBI clearance).

6) dad police clearance.

Thanks!

You should probably post your question in the Philippines regional forum since the answer is very much specific to the Philippines.

I don't know the family relationship between your mother and her brother; i.e., are they full siblings with both parents common between them, or are they half-siblings with one common parent, or are they step-siblings, and were their parents married when they were born, etc. This affects what sort of documentation is needed with the petition to prove the family relationship. I'm not sure how much of the documentation you've listed is going to be needed with the petition. Since it's going to take about 23 years for her brother's priority date to become current he will have plenty of time to round up documentation which won't be needed at the petition stage.

12/15/2009 - K1 Visa Interview - APPROVED!

12/29/2009 - Married in Oakland, CA!

08/18/2010 - AOS Interview - APPROVED!

05/01/2013 - Removal of Conditions - APPROVED!

You can't. I am assuming it is the poster's mother that is petitioning her brother.
