Hi VJer,

I know we all noticed that the Calofronia Service Center (CSC) is couple of months ahead of Vermont(VSC) !???

Here is my quesion: I am applying next month.. Whay can't I just use my parent's address in California so that my case goes to the CSC????.. Am I going to get in trouble?.. (Even if I have somebody who can get all my mails all the time).

Do you think Vermont is going to continue takeing 5-6 months until the end of the year????..

Please please let me know if youve heard of such a thing before.. And what are the risks??

Thank you gang..

Can't wait to hear your answers1....:)

It is anybody's guess as to what can or will happen. When I filed, everyone acted like it was great that I got the VSC because they were a month ahead of the CSC at that time. Right after filing they stopped moving and the July filers got stuck for quite some time. Once they got to August they started to become steady again and then slowed almost to a halt for us September filers. It can go any way, go with your gut feeling after looking at the trends and decide for yourself.

Welcome to this terrible process. Hope your journey goes smooth and as expected! Boa sorte!

09/21/10 - I-129F Sent!

09/23/10 - I-129F Received in Dallas, TX

09/28/10 - Text & E-mail NOA1 (It was at 12:44AM, weird) Notification that our case was transferred to VSC.

09/29/10 - Check cashed

09/30/10 - NOA-1 Hard Copy dated Sep. 27, 2010

10/03/10 - TOUCH!

After numerous calls to USCIS, my two Texas Senators and a Congressman, the latter got an "expedite" put through (if you can call a month and a week after ONPT an expedite). Just never let up! Even though mine took way too long, there were people who were a month before me and waited longer because they just sat back and watched. "The squeaky wheel gets the grease!"

03/31/11 - NOA-2!

04/05/11 - Received NOA-2 hard copy.

04/07/11 - NVC Received

04/12/11 - Case left NVC via DHL

04/14/11 - Consulate Received Hard Copy of Case

Ya it's really just a ####### shoot lol. While VSC is stil behind CSC, they have been picking up the pace lately compared to what it's been like (well this past week basically) and CSC had a bit of a lull at the end of last week. Ya I wouldn't risk it.

It's critical that you answer questions on the immigration forms TRUTHFULLY. When asked for your residence address, give your residence address. NEVER lie on an immigration form or to an immigration official.

Facts are cheap...knowing how to use them is precious...
Understanding the big picture is priceless. Anonymous
